Lorian made his way through a depressing town. As he entered through the gates he could feel the energy of the people around him. He could feel it fading, losing hope as the world as they once knew was fading into the darkness. He made his way further into the town. Guards that once protected lorian himself were now empty shells of their former selves taken over by the darkness. The guards went on to harassing a girl. Lorian gritted his teeth as he watched. They pushed her down and laughed as she tried to fight back only to be thrown down again and again. Lorian couldn't take anymore of this. He ran and got between them protecting the girl.
"That's enough!" yelled lorian.
"Who do you think you're talking to"? said one of the guards.
" You heard me now leave her alone, shes done nothing to hurt you"
"Oh yeah, who's going to make me"?
Lorian pulled out his sword.
"Care to find out"
Once he had it in his bandaged hand, the sword instantly roared a black flame. The crowed that now gathered were in awe. The first guard rushed toward him and swung his weapon. But he swung at nothing but air. Instantaneously lorian was behind him and he jabbed his sword into the back of the guard. The sword absorbed the darkness within the guard rendering him unconscious but alive without possession. The other two guards then rushed toward him. Lorian braced himself as the second guard prepared his attack. The guard swung his blade with hate and anger. Lorian was successful in blocking the blow but was sent back flying ten feet. Lorian then pulled himself up and readied himself. The guards rushed again. Lorian dodged the first one and and thrusted his sword into the third one. Before he could react the last guard had thrown him across the market. Lorian struggled to get up and fight. The guard walked to him and picked him up by his neck. The guard laughed as lorian struggled to get out of the guards grip. Suddenly the guard screamed in pain as a sword was plunged through him. He dropped lorian and fell to his knees. Lorian then grabbed the guards arms absorbing the darkness from him. The girl that had been harassed helped lorian to his feet and walked him to her camp. Once they had reached their destination she laid lorian out on some bedding. Instantly lorian fell asleep exhausted from his fight.
