{Avenged} My Nightmare {Sevenfold} [16]

MB and I had spent the rest of my time there watching movies and talking about Jimmy. It helped to have someone who was close to us all but not one of the guys talking about him. We laughed about all the crazy times we had together right up through me packing this morning. Now I was just waiting for Matt to pick me up for my doctor's appointment. I was a little nervous. I wanted her to tell me that everything was going fine but I was worried after the comments from random strangers that I seemed to be more than six or seven weeks along. It was also the first time since he and Val and broken up that I would be seeing him. He hadn't called to tell me they had broken up and I wasn't sure if he knew that Val had seen me or not.

I heard a knock on MB's door and opened it up to see Matt standing on the doorstep.

"Hi," I said noting that he looked nervous as well.

"Hi," he flashed me a smile. "You look nice."

"Thanks I just bought this over the weekend. Val picked out the shirt." I bit my tongue literally as I realized that I had brought her up.

"So you saw Val this weekend?"

"Yeah she came shopping with us girls."

"Did she tell you then?"

"Yeah, Matt are you sure this is what you want?"

"Yeah, I am."

I nodded and he led me out of the house. I locked the door behind me as MB was out with some other friends. Something about not wanting to be there when Matt got here. I guess he was afraid that Matt wouldn't think he'd done a good enough job taking care of me.

We got settled into the car and drove the short way to the doctor's office. I signed in and sat nervously in the waiting room. Matt took my hand in his and squeezed it reassuringly. I gave him a smile which felt rubbery just as the nurse came out and called my name. She smiled as us as we made our way back to the room. She took all of my vitals and did the initial questions.

"Dr. Henderson will be right with you."

I nodded at her and settled back. She came back in a moment later with a gown.

"Sorry I forgot to give you this. You'll want to change into it for the ultrasound."

I blushed a bit as she left.

"I'll, uh, wait outside," Matt said smiling at me.

I waited until he shut the door behind him and then quickly changed. I then opened the door a crack and peeked outside. He was leaning against the opposite wall.

"Ready?"

"Ready," I smiled back at him a little shyly.

He stood up and followed me back in. He sat down in the chair and I sat on the table. Dr. Henderson came in pulling a small ultrasound machine with her.

"And how are we today?"

"Good," I smiled.

"Ah this must be another one of the Avenged boys?"

"Yes, Ma'am. Matt," he said shaking her hand.

"Well it's good to know that you have such a good support system. Let's get started shall we?"

I nodded. She asked questions about my diet as she rechecked my vitals, nodding her head expressing her approval at my responses she smiled. 

"Ok now the machine checks the baby's heart beat as well but I like to do it the old fashion way first ok?" she said tapping her stehoscope.

"Ok," I smiled. I was really excited to do the ultrasound but I wouldn't lie about being nervous. Dr. Henderson tried a few different spots. I noted the frown on her face.
