Chapter Eight - Sorry

Not only did I wake up with a hangover and no sleep but I woke up with instant regret for what happened last night

"Fuck" I groaned to myself I was such a fucking idiot just when things were starting to feel good I fucked it up, I had to find wrench go say sorry to him

I got dressed had a shower and picked up coffees on my way to HQ hopefully the cafiene might help with my apology

I was a girl on a mission and I power walked my arse right into HQ everyone looked up when I came in, Wrench wasn't anywhere to be seen

"I brought coffee" I offered the the hungover faces greeting me

"His in his room, hasn't come out yet" Sitara said before I could even ask and I put the coffees down and walked past them

"Alisha" Marcus said coming over to me

"Just.. sometimes when his mad he can do or say shit he doesn't mean maybe try later?" He offered

"It's ok I can take anything he has to say I just need to say sorry" I told him and he nodded

I walked past him and knocked on Wrench's door

"Fuck off Marcus I said I'm not in the mood for an alien vs predator marathon" I could hear his robotic undertone which meant he had his mask on hopefully he wasn't naked because that could turn this apology more awkward I opened the door

He was sitting at a desk his computer opened in front of him

"I said" he turned around and stop when he saw me

"Wrench" I started and he stood up not saying a word his mask flicking through many emotions

I didn't know what to say so I walked over and hugged him my arms wrapping around his waist not worrying about the spikes

"I'm so sorry I'm such an idiot Wrench" I said almost in tears it would be awkward if he rejected my apology especially since I was hugging him right now

Then he lifted his arms and wrapped them around me letting out a breath

"Your not an idiot you idiot" he said and I laughed into his shirt it smelt like him

"I was just an emotional mess last night" I said looking up into his mask

"I'm sorry I snapped like that I was just ahh I don't even know" he said finally

"Friends?" I asked

"Totally who's gunna teach you how to blow shit up if I dont" he said finally smiling (^)(^)

"True" I laughed

"Want to take Marcus up on that marathon?" I said giving him a look his mask lit up happily

"I mean I wasn't really going to turn him down I was just going to sulk a little while really eat it up you know" he said flicking his imaginary hair like a girl

"Sure you were big guy now come on I brought coffee" I told him smiling

"And donuts??" He was like an excited puppy and I was so thankful that last night was a forgotten memory I dug into my bag

"Just for you" I said

"Boy I really should be mad more often" he said laughing but I hoped I would never have to see him that way again and I knew though he was joking now I really had hurt him last night and I would make it up to him

"MARCUS CLEAR THE ROOM ITS TIME FOR A MARATHON" Wrench yelled basically running out of the room when I followed it was smiles all around Marcus turned to me and gave me a side hug
