Chapter Ten - Now what?

Alisha

"ahh shit" I said jumping up from the table, I was sitting with Josh going over code

Sitara looked at me over the couch

"What?" She asked

"I was meant to work" I said scurrying to pick up my stuff I grabbed my phone all the while Sitara and Josh watched me curiously

I rang work hoping to catch a break

"Hello" my boss didn't sound happy as always

"Rob it's Alisha I'm so sorr.." he cut me off

"Don't bother Alisha, do you really think we don't have people lining up for a job your unreliable I can't have workers just not turning up for work" he growled and I became annoyed

"Unreliable, Rob I worked my arse off for you for over a year I have never been late or been unreliable" I said and he just huffed

"Don't bother coming into work Alisha we already have some else I gave you a break even thought your record was bad and you fucked up" and he hung up on me before I could get a word in

I stood there in the middle of the room about to break out in tears Sitara stood from the couch and that's when Wrench finally returned from his garage for some reason seeing him brought out the baby in me because I burst into tears

Sitara Reached for me but Wrench just Strode across the room and wrapped me tightly in his arms I felt so embarrassed but I couldn't stop my tears from soaking his shirt

"What's wrong princess" he said softly

"Work fired me and I just don't know what to do I was a good employee I swear and now I don't know how I'm going to keep my shitty apartment especially seeing as my fucking landlord wants me out so his friends can move in" I rambled out of breath

"Alisha" he said pulling me back a little to look down at me

"Your part of the notorious hacker group dedsec you won't be without money trust me and if you want to keep you apartment you can but there is a room here for you" he said (^ ^)

"But.. I.. I didn't expect to be paid for this" I said confused

"Of course you do we all get cuts in the money and trust me we aren't without it" Sitara said and I looked to her smiling face

"Oh" I said smiling embarrassingly at my face

"I have been such an emotional person lately I'm sorry" I said stepping from Wrench

"Your a girl doesn't that come with the job" Wrench said hands on hips

"Sexist" I laughed and Sitara shook her head at the clueless Wrench

"Come on Alisha you should come out today with me and we can pick some of your stuff up" Sitara said grabbing her bag

"Alright" I said glad for some time to get to know Sitara the only other girl in our small group

"Oh I see how it's is" Wrench said crossing his arms

"Big baby" I laughed poking his chest softly

"Hey watch the precious cargo" he said raising his hands

"See you later?" I said in a question and he nodded happily

"You betcha" (~ ^)

Sitara watched us curiously and then we left we took the car about fifteen minutes up the road
