"Thank you, though I'm kind of surprised you guys actually thought I could help I was starting to get a little disheartened I mean I don't have much to offer and I know there is heaps of other people wanting in" I said shrugging
"We wouldn't be Pursuing you if we didn't think you could bring something valuable to our group" Sitara said
"We know about how you hacked your schools security to expose the bullying that was happening behind the scenes" Josh said quietly
"And the crazy stunt you pulled on that billboard" Marcus laughed and I couldn't help but smirk a little
"Not to mention we know who it was who exposed Leahjay, good job on that by the way completely badass" Wrench added (! !)
I cringed at the name a part of my past I would be happy to never think about again
"Thanks" I said dryly
"I mean if I'm no good you guys can just send me on my merry way I guess" I said
"Nar because once you see our secrets the only way to leave is in a body bag" wrench said in a sinister tone wiggling his fingers in my face and finally I cracked a grin
"Are you always such a dork" I laughed and I think we all felt the tension lift
"He sure is" Marcus piped in
"Hey" Wrench cried his mask changing to show an unhappy expression (/ \)
"I guess this means welcome to the family" Sitara announced and I don't think she realised how happy the word family made me feel
I started to look around, it was a computer geeks wet dream there was computers and tech shit everywhere as well as so pretty sick graffiti that I had learnt Dedsec was famous for
"Neato" I said slowly walking around
"Is that a 3D printer" I asked excitedly
Sitara tried to answer before wrench jumped in as he grabbed my arm pulling me toward the machine
"Hell yeah it is! I'm still working out everything I mean I have guns down packed but like I want something different you know like... a dildo or a cat" he said patting the machine, I laughed out loud
"That is a broad range" I said grinning
"I said that to him" Marcus called over from his spot on the lounge
Wrench just glared at him (\ /)
"My imagination has no range or limits" he admitted winking (~ ^)
"I can tell, now are we talking dildo gun or just dildo?" I asked
"Oooh I like you, I like this one guys she's a keeper" he said loudly I just shook my head somehow I felt more at home here with this crazy masked man and his hacker friends then I had in my entire life.
After a tour of the hackerspace Marcus announced he was buying pizza to celebrate the "new family member" I couldn't refuse as I hadn't eaten all day
We sat around the massive TV I was squished between Marcus and Wrench while Sitara lounged in a bean bag chair with Josh sitting a little bit away from the group
When we opened the pizza and let it grace the room with its heavenly smell I turned to wrench
"Doesn't the mask interfere a little with the whole eating situation?" I asked quietly enough for just him to hear I always felt rude asking personal questions let alone to a whole group, for a moment he didn't answer his masking quickly flashing a few emoticons before he shrugged
