I woke up in a hospital bed. I heard the steady beeping of my heart monitor. Everything was so white almost blinding.

"Thank god, your okay." I saw Jacob sitting on a chair smiling.

"Still look awful though." Jake murmured

"Glad you haven't changed Jake."

"What's there to change I'm perfect."

"Unlike your ego." Jacob and I said in unison.

"Hey congrats Jake you won your bet." Jacob said.

"A bet." I questioned.

"Oh yeah Samuel thought you would wake up in a 4 months Jake said around 3 months." I nodded my head, good thing it wasn't a bet on my survival. Otherwise they would have been dead.

"I've been in a coma for 3 months!"

"Yeah, don't get to hysterical, be careful when you get out of bed." Jacob warned. I calmed myself down. 3 months of uninterrupted sleep not bad.

"What's the punishment?"

"They have to french kiss Olea and not get kicked in the nuts." Jake smiled with relief. I laughed. "Come on Jacob we gotta tell Samuel the news. Willow there're clothes on the chair if you want to get changed. I watched as they left the room closing the door behind them.I slowly made my way to the clothes, stretching my stiff limbs. I looked to my arm it was good as new like nothing happened. There was an envelope on top of the pile. I got changed, sat on the bed and opened the note.

Dear Willow,

You are only getting this letter if I'm dead. I know, I know, it's tragic you can no longer bask in my hotness. I love you Willow and I always will there's nothing in the world that can change that. You were the best thing that happened to me. I loved all of your questions and everything that annoyed the crap out of me. You drove me insane. But I guess that's why I love you. I loved your clumsiness, the way you blush and your look of wonder at everything around you. You saw the world in a way I couldn't even comprehend. You thought out of the box... for goodness sake you used a vacuum cleaner to catch Olea. That was hilarious you didn't even know if it was gonna work. The way you look at food as if it's you last meal ever or your first. All the time we spent together I enjoyed every second of it. Yes even the nude flour run.I don't want you to dwell on the past, focus on whats happening now and go forwards not backwards.

The bead necklace you found in the rubble of your home, it was mine. I came to the house as it was burning  to save you but I couldn't find you or your parents inside it got caught on something and I lost it. I found the crushed bits and pieced it back together. For a girl who is 16 you sure know how to kick ass.

Love you always,

Zane

P.s. Any guy who wants to date you, make them work for it.

I pulled out the silver necklace with the white bead from the envelope, the cracks were obvious as they were held together with this golden glue. I also pulled out a photo of the kiss Zane and I shared in the flour fight. I couldn't help but laugh. I put the necklace on, I left the room to the all familiar gloomy grey hallways. I walked around a bit then I came  across Jake, Jacob and Chaise laughing their asses off as they told Samuel he has to french kiss Olea.

"Willow why? why couldn't you have just slept for one  more month?"

"It's not Winter yet to early for hibernating." Everyone laughed louder. We walked with Samuel on his walk of shame.

"Did you get the note?" Jake whispered in my ear. I showed him my necklace. "I'm never gonna be able to beat him." he mumbled under his breath quiet enough I could barely hear.
