"Through the fricken window!" Simone chanted pumping her fist in the air.
"No, back door, this isn't some story where epic things happen. The safest way to go is the backdoor." Tara sat there staring at the ground.
Bailee spoke up.
"Let's put it to a vote then. Hands flat in the air for the safer choice, hands in a fist for the window." She then raised her hand flat in the air, along with Chaise and Tara. Jake, Zane and Simone raised their fists. They all turned to me, I felt their eyes bore into me.
Back door is safest however there's fight on the first floor and we could be spotted. Whether as the window we won't be spotted as easily but could raise attention to us by the sound of glass smashing. But is there a way we could get in without having to smash glass maybe Zane could melt it or even...pull us through.
The memory flashed through my mind for a second.
He pulled me through glass...
I shot my fist in the air,
I heard Simone, Zane and Jake cheer.
"Cool I'll tell K4 and A2 they will need to make more noise when the time comes then." Samuel left the room.
"Zane can't you just pull us through." I asked. Everyone turned their heads to Zane obviously confused.
"How am I supposed to do that." Zane crossed his arms.
"When we met you pulled me through
glass couldn't you just pull us through the window."
"I...I don't know, I don't do that often." His voice was calm.
"You mean to say that Zane can go though solid objects." Jake seemed the most dumbfounded out of everyone.
Zane just nodded his head.
"Why didn't you tell us we can really use that information." I could hear the anger slowly rising in Jakes voice.
"I didn't think it was all that important." Zane tensed up.
"Well it is." I could see flames burning behind Jakes eyes. He turned away and left the room slamming the door behind him.
"What just happened." Zane sounded just as confused as the rest of us.
"I'm gonna go talk to him." I looked at Zane who just nodded his head. I gave him a quick kiss and left the room closing the door gently. The hall was empty. I walked down a hallway and around a corner. Jake was there leaning on the wall, his body shaking.
"Jake?..." I cautiously walked up to him. He looked at me, his purple eyes shimmering as a tear slid down his face. "What is it?"
"Why...why would I want to tell you anything." Acid laced his words.
"I don't know...you don't have to." I replied. Jake slid to the ground and sat there. "Just know I'm not gonna leave until I get the answer." I sat down next to him. He chuckled.
"Of course I expected nothing less." We sat there for a while sitting in silence. Jake sighed loudly. "I admire you dedication."
I turned to Jake he had a smile on his face, his eyes slightly puffy.
"It's wearing thin." I admitted. He got up and held out his hand.
"Come on." I grabbed his hand and he pulled me to my feet. He started walking, so I followed only a few steps behind. He turned a few corners, opened a door, pulled me inside and closed the door behind us.
"If I'm gonna tell you...I've gotta make sure no one else hears." Jake looked at me dead serious. "Okay so if you haven't figured it out yet, everyone here has had a life changing moment. These moments...how do I put this...activate the Sui Generis part of them...I guess."
"Activate?"
"Activate, trigger, like light switch okay."
"Okay...please continue." I saw Jake roll his eyes and take a deep breath in.
"Where do I begin..."
