Chapter ten

"Corl! What happened?" Denis said getting in the tent. "I....I saw....A s-shadow. T-t-tall. Taller than Denis..." You looked at Denis. He looked at you back. "Corl. Get up and follow us." Denis said. He walked back to the car. Corl followed closely. Denis drove you and Corl home. "Let's not do that ever again." You said. There was still silence. When you got home, Alex was sitting on the couch. You walked over to him.
"Where's Madison?"
"Bathtub. How was the trip?"
"Terrible. How was recording?"
"Annoying."
You stared at him.
"How long has Madison been in there?"
"At least 5 minutes."
You smiled. You sat down next to him. You leaned in. You kissed him. He smiled. Alex kissed you again. Longer. You laid down in his lap. Alex grabbed the remote and turned on a romance movie on Netflix. Netflix. Your good buddy Netflix. Cancel cable and just get Netflix! You fell asleep soon after. Alex must have fell asleep too because Madison was staring at you when you woke up. "Madison! Oh you scared me!" You said. Alex woke up too. "Lets get you to bed, sweetie." Alex said. You sat up. Alex got up and set his hand on Madison's shoulder. After he came back, he saw you on the phone. "Maybe we could just hang around your house next time? Great. Thanks Denis!" You hung up. "I'm going to bed Alex. Goodnight." "Goodnight." You walked into the bedroom. Alex sat on the couch. He didn't feel like going to sleep. He got up and walked to his computer. He pressed record on his webcam. "Hey everybody! Today, I have to be quiet because everyone's asleep. So lets get to the video!" It was 10:08 when he finally fell asleep. Alex didn't want to wake you so he fell asleep on the couch. You got up to get a glass of water hours later. You saw him on the couch and smiled at his kindness. You walked over to him and laid down next to him. You fell asleep soon after. 'Why can't everything be this awesome?' You thought falling asleep.
