Chapter twelve

The doctor sent you back home the next day. You sat in a corner of the bed that faced the wall.

"Are you okay Denise? You don't look so good." Alex said walking into the bedroom. He closed the bedroom door and locked it. "It's one of those days Alex. When you just want to go in a corner and cry. Maybe have some ice cream." He turned you around. "How can I make it not one of those days?" Alex asked. Your head had been in your knees. You looked up at Alex. "There's no way that an upbeat girl like you can be sad!" Alex smiled. "Corl and me are supposed to go to Denis's house to hang out. But, my subscribers? How many will hate me now?" You started to cry. Alex wiped your tears away. "Corl doesn't post EVERY day. Just when he wants. Well, he attempts to. Sometimes he misses a few days." Alex said. He still had his non toothy smile. Your crying slowed down. "So they won't hate me?" "They won't hate you." You smiled. You quickly kissed Alex and grabbed the keys. You unlocked the door. Madison was on the couch watching a movie. "Bye Madison! Love you sweetie!" You said, rushing out the door. You dove to Denis's house. Corl was already there. "Hey bro! Hey Braden!" Corl was on the couch. Denis was still eating his breakfast sandwich. They looked up. "Hey sis." Denis replied with his mouth full. "Hey Denise." Corl said. "Who wants to play truth or dare? Or we can tell dark secrets." Denis smirked at what he said. "Dark secrets!" Me and Corl said at the same time. "Who goes first?" Denis and Corl looked at you. "Why me? Fine." You had to think for a second. "In fifth grade, this is hard to say but, Alex came over when you were at Corl's house. I never told a soul. Not even the people reading this!" "Wait. What? Are there people spying?" Corl looked confused. "You don't have to tell me I looked confused!" (Lets just ignore Corl now) "Anyway, Alex and me were studying when we flipped to chemistry. He started smiling. I asked him why and he just said 'because I think we have chemistry.' I stared at him then he kissed me. That was my first kiss. Not in the hospital when he had his wreck. Then was my first kiss." They stared at you. It was silent most of the time when you were there. You felt uncomfortable. You went back to your house. Alex and Madison was playing a board game. You ignored them and went to bed. Alex must have put Madison to bed because he followed you a little bit later. He laid down next to you. You turned towards him. You didn't say a word. He didn't either. You snuggled up to his chest. Shortly after, you heard a snore. You closed your eyes. You started thinking to yourself. 'I'll tell him in the morning.'
