I got home fairly late from uni. Luckily, I didn't have any spine-chilling encounters with Matt today; he wasn't even in any classes. Truth be told, I don't blame him. I myself didn't have the strength to get out of bed this morning. Not physical strength, but mentally. I readied myself and went to campus, knowing that I'd see Matt today, but all in all, I didn't. So I guess today wasn't such a bad day after all.
I park my small red car outside by the pool, and walk up towards my door.
"I just want to go inside, wash my face, put on shorts, and lie down on my bed for as long as possible." I mumble to myself.
My breathing and my feet scraping against the ground are the only sounds around tonight. No cars, no animals; It's almost ten o'clock at night but I would expect more people stirring around.
I approach my front door and see a small green piece of paper taped just above the doorbell.
"I'm gonna need someone to show me around town and teach me how to be a proper texan. Lunch tomorrow? 832-445-7289
-calum"
I smile at the note and unlock my door.
I'm greeted by my massive chocolate lab Jessie, licking me immediately as I step inside.
"Hi baby." I pat her head and plop myself on the couch.
I look at calums note and smile one last time before folding it up and sticking it in my purse.
This whole "taking a break from guys" thing, is going to be harder than I thought.
