I ran into the nearest bathroom and checked myself out in the mirror. EW. I grabbed my favorite gray v-neck, threw a green cardigan over it and put on some super cute jean shorts. I loosely curled my long brown hair.I slid on my white toms to top of the outfit. I looked my self over in the mirror one more time. Perfect.
I told my Aunt the whole story about meeting Cody on the plane ride. Apparently she is friends with Cody's mom and dad. Weird. I jumped in the car...it was already 6:50! Good thing we live a block away from Cody.
We pulled up to a huge house. I hopped out of the car and turned back to wave good-bye to my Aunt. I walked up to the door and pressed the button for the door bell. I could hear it echoing throughout thier house. Then I heard a little voice scream, "I'll get it!" The door swung open to reveal a girl about a year younger than me, she had long blonde hair and daring blue eyes...just like Cody...this must be his sister.
"Hey, I'm Alli! You must be Baylee!"
"Yeah, how'd you know?"
"Oh Cody's been talking about you-" Alli was interupted by Cody.
"Hey Baylee!" Cody exclaimed. He embraced me in a tight hug. I could feel his muscles flex on my arms. I pulled away and sat down on a barstool in the kitchen.
"Hey, so what are we gonna do?"
"I have a few ideas..." He trailed off and I looked up realizing he was running straight towards me. He picked me up and threw me other his shoulder.
"PUT ME DOWN CODY!" I screamed, while cracking up laughing. I started kicking him and he lost his grasp on me and I escaped. I ran away as fast as I could. I stopped to see if Cody was following me. Little did I know he was coming full speed towards me. He ran right into me and we both collapsed to the floor. Cody was on top of me with his hands placed on either side of my head. His eyes were locked with mine.
"Your eyes are so-"
"Green?" I interupted Cody.
"I was going to say beautiful, but green works too."
"Haha! Just get off me you klutz!" I said while pushing him off of me. Cody looked at me and smiled. Alli looked over at us and just rolled her eyes at us.
"Cuteeeeee...now if you excuse me, I gotta go meet up with my friends." Alli said as she strolled out the front door.
Cody and I decided to go outside and play around on the trampoline. Cody opened the back door to reveal a big backyard, with a pool, a trampoline, and a nice patio. We raced each other to the trampoline. Cody, trying to show off, ran as fast as he could. He lost his footing and tripped right into the pool. I stopped in my tracks and started cracking up. Cody just sat there in the pool, fully clothed, glaring at me. I just ignored him and started to run off to the trampoline.
"If you think that was funny then you're going to find this hilarious!" He yelled at me. I turned around to see what he was talking about, just in time to be slapped in the face with a bunch of water. Once I got the water out of my eyes I saw Cody standing armed with a water hose.
"You are soo going to regret that!" I screamed. I ran towards Cody and pushed him into the pool. Before he could hit the water he grabbed my hand and pulled me in with him. When I came up out of the water for air, I immediately started to splash randomly. I felt a tap on my shoulder, I turned around to see Cody inches from my face, laughing at me. Our eyes locked, and I felt Cody's arm wrap around my waist. Sparks shot through my body. Was he about to kiss me?
"CODY ROBERT SIMPSON! COME HERE NOW!" I heard a woman, who must've been his mom, say.
Wow...perfect timing...SIKE!
"Coming mom!" Cody screamed back at her. He looked over at me.
"I'll be right back and I'll bring back a towel for you." He said.
"Mmkay." I said back, with a huge grin on my face. After Cody went back inside, I jumped out of the pool and sat on the patio. Cody came back with two towels in his hand and a big smile.
"Sorry, I forgot I was supposed to unpack before you came over." He said with his adorable Australian accent...my heart melted a little.
"Oh, haha! Do you need to go and do that?"
"Nope! I would rather stay right here!" He flashed a smile at me. I just smiled back. We walked inside after we dried off. I looked at the clock it was already 8:00! I had to be home by 9:00! Cody told me I could borrow some of Alli's clothes and I could change in her room. So, I ran upstairs and changed into a white v-neck and a neon purple pair of nike shorts. I threw my wet hair up into a messy bun, clipped back my bangs, and looked my self over in the mirror, before running back downstairs. I walked into the living room and saw Cody had already changed into dry clothes and was laying face down on the couch. I sneaked over to the couch and plopped down on top of his legs.
"Hey! You're back!' He said excitedly, with his face inside a pillow.
"Good observation skills!"
"Would mind getting off of my legs so we can go on a walk?"
"If I have to..." I groaned. I got up and walked to the door. Cody ran up to the door and opened it before I could. What a gentlemen. We started to walk to the park that was at the end of the street. About halfway there I was getting so cold that I started shivering. Cody pulled off his sweatshirt and gave it to me. I put it on, it smelled just like him. Once we arrived at the park, I ran over to the swings and Cody pushed me. While he pushed me, we were talking about our lives. Cody was talking about how hard it was to be normal with all of his fans around all the time. That's when it hit me...he's a famous singer! That's why I had heard his name before. Okay calm yourself Baylee he is still a normal person! No need to freak out. I heard Cody say something. So, I turned around ans asked him what he said.
"It's 8:50. Don't you have to be home by 9:00?" He said.
"Oh crap... yeah I do."
"Okay well, let me walk you home. I want to make sure you get home safely."
"Okay." I said with a smile.
We started walking to my Aunt's house, which was even farther away now since the park was in the opposite direction. After walking for about ten minutes, I felt Cody's hand entwine with mine. There goes those spark through my body again. I looked up into Cody's eyes and smiled. I laid my head on his shoulder. I could've stayed there forever. Before I knew it we were already walking up to the door of my Aunt's house. Once we reached the door, we both turned to look at each other.
"Well, I guess this is good-bye." I said.
"Yes, but most definitely not for forever." He said, while embracing me in a tight hug. Warmth, sparks, fireworks, everything mixed into one. It was more intense than before. I never wanted to let go of him. Then I realized how late it must've been.
"I've got to go..." I whispered into Cody's ear. He pulled away and smiled.
"I'll see you tomorrow at 1 at my house!" He called back to me as he walked away.
"Wait! What's tomorrow at 1?!" I questioned.
"You'll see!"
