A Love Like No Other

Chapter 7

-1 Month Later-

"Hey babe." I jumped when I heard the very familiar accent. I turned around to see Cody standing in my bedroom doorway.

"Cody? What are you doing here? It's 8:00 am!" I said with a little laugh.

" Your aunt let me in and I needed to do this-" He ran over to me and pulled me up in his arms and planted his lips upon mine. Oh I never get tired of this. The kiss continued for a while until we both pulled away, panting.

"Now go get dressed!" He said as he put me down and pushed me into my closet and shut the door. I grabbed my floral print skirt and the colored top that matched and put on my brown gladiator sandals. I walked out of the closet and saw Cody laying on my bed.

"Wow, you never fail to amaze me with your beauty." Cody said. I just chuckled. He got up and pulled on my hand and led me out of the house.

"Where are we going, Codes?"

"That's for me to know and for you to find out." Oh greatttttt. This boy and his surprises. I followed Cody to his mustang and we both hopped in. (A/N: just to let you know Cody is now 16, I know it's not accurate, but just go with it!) We started off down the road. Cody had one hand on the steering wheel and the other was wrapped in mine. We were in the car jamming to the radio and Penguin by Christina Perri came on. Cody looked over at me and smiled.

"You should listen to her." He said.

"What are you talking about?" I asked, with a puzzled look on my face.

"She said that like a soul mate I'm your penguin! She is completely right about that!" He said with a smile. I just smiled and pecked him on the cheek. I sat there singing along with song and looking around. That's when I noticed suitcases in the back seat.

"Umm.. Codes?"

"Yes, my love?"

"Why are there suitcases in the back?"

"Oh we are going on a little road trip."

"Sweet!" I said with a big grin. YES! We're going on a road trip! I wonder where we are going? We were in the car for quite a while and we had to stop a few times along the way, but we finally got to Sydney! We pulled up to our hotel and went up to our room. It was really nice it had small kitchen and dining room, a living room, and a seperate bedroom. Cody went over and sat on the couch. I walked over and laid down on the couch with my head on his lap, looking up at him. He leaned down and kissed me for a few seconds and then pulled away.

"Well, babe, we are only here for 2 days so what do you want to do?" Cody asked me. I just shrugged. He looked at me and just chuckled.

"Well that was extremely helpful. Thank you so much!" He said.

"Oh no problem!" I replied. I looked at the time on my phone, it was already 8:30 pm. Where did the time go? I decided to take a shower, since we weren't going to do anything tonight.

"Hey, Codes, I'm going to go take a shower!"

"Okay, babe." I smiled, like I did everytime he called me babe. I went to the bathroom and started the shower. I hopped in and let the cold water flow down my back. I started thinking about how great my life was...then I started thinking about my parents. Tears started forming in my eyes. I managed to keep them from falling. I got out of the shower and wrapped a towel around myself. Oh great. I forgot to bring my clothes with me...I peeked out the door and noticed Cody wasn't in the bedroom so I ran over to my suitcase and grabbed my nike shorts and my sweatshirt. I was almost to the bathroom when the bedroom door opened.

"Oh hey there!" Cody said while winking at me.

"PERV!" I yelled while laughing and ran into the bathroom, locking the door behind me. After I got dressed and fish tail braided my wet hair, I went to go find Cody. I walked into the dining room and saw a beautiful candlelit dinner set up.
