"Hi, I'm Baylee Anderson and you are...?" I replied quickly.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Cody Simpson." hmm...why did that name sound so familiar?
"It's nice to meet you too, Cody." Why do I feel like I've heard that name before?! I just shrugged it off. I probably had never heard that name before.
"How ol-" Cody was cut off by the pilot speaking over the intercom.
"This is your pilot speaking, we will be taking off now. Please make sure your seat belts are fastened and please turn off all electronics. Thank you and have a nice flight."
"What were you saying, Cody?"
"Oh right, how old are you?"
"I'm fifteen."
"Me too!" Cody said with a little bit of excitement in his voice.
The plane began to move. I turned towards Cody and said,
"Hey, I apologize for any screaming..."
"Haha what?!"
"I said I apologize for any screaming, I'm scared of flying and flying by myself does not make it any better."
Cody turned towards me, gave me a little smile, and told me everything was going to be alright. I smiled back at him. As the plane began to lift off the ground I tensed up and grabbed the arm rests. I guess Cody could tell I was freaking out, because he put his hand over mine and began to rub my hand. When his hand touched mine it sent sparks through my body and I felt his warmth take over my body. He kept repeating, "You're fine, my love." My love? What in the world?! Did he just call me his love? Oh well he probably says that to everyone. It might be an Australian thing, so I just ignored that part.
As soon as the plane was in the air, Cody removed his hand from mine and pulled out his headphones. My body turned cold again, and I frowned...luckily he didn't see that! I decided it would be best for me to watch a movie on my ipod, so that's exactly why I did.
-Later on, during the flight...-
Cody had taken off his headphones and was just sitting there playing with his phone. He looked up at me and pulled out my headphones and said "Hey!" This made me jump.
"Sorry, my love, I didn't mean to startle you."
"Oh it's fine..."
"So why are you going to Australia?" I then told him about my parents and how I was going to my aunt's house to stay with her. I felt the tears form in the corner's of my eyes. Don't cry Baylee, there is an adorable guy sitting next to you! Don't cry!
"Awh I'm so sorry about your parents." He must've seen the tears in my eyes and he grabbed my hand again. There it was again, that feeling of sparks and warmth throughout my entire body. I felt the tears suddenly evaporate from eyes, as if they had never been formed. I decided to change the subject.
"So I guess you're going back to Australia?"
"Haha yes! I wonder what gave that away?" he said with a bit of sarcasm.
"Where do you live in Australia?"
"I live in Gold Coast, Queensland."
"No way! My aunt lives around there!"
"That's cool! Maybe we will see each other around."
-End of flight-
"Wake up, Angel. Wake up, Angel"
I rubbed my eyes opened and I looked up to see Cody staring at me. I must've fallen asleep on his shoulder. Whoops. I got up and apologized. Cody just looked at me and laughed. Oh crap I probably looked horrible. I asked him if I looked okay.
"You look way better than okay, you look beautiful." he replied.
I thanked him and realized we had already landed and people were leaving the plane. I got up and reached for the overhead compartment. I opened it up and grabbed my suitcase it wouldn't budge. Seriously?! I kept struggling with my stupid bag.
"Here let me get it." I heard Cody say. His accent was irrisistible. He pulled down my my suitcase with ease. Darn his muscles!
"Thanks for making me look weak!" I joked.
"No problem, anytime!" he joked back.
I flashed a smile and grabbed my suitcase from his hands. I started to walk off the plane with Cody on my heels. When we entered the airport, I turned to Cody and thanked him for everything. He hugged me tightly. The feeling of sparks was more intense than before, it was such a good feeling. We both pulled away and said good bye. As soon as I started to walk away, I felt a hand around my wrist pull me back. I turned around it was Cody again.
"Yes?" I asked
"Can I umm have your number?' He blushed.
"Sure, why not!" We exchanged numbers and then parted ways. I looked all around the airport for my aunt. There she was, waving at me. I ran up to her and hugged her with all my might. I told her how much I missed her and how I really needed this get away. We rushed off to the car. Right when I got in the car my phone started playing We are Young...someone's calling me? I looked at the caller I.D. It read: CODY (:
"Hello?" I answered.
"Hey there, Angel. Hope you don't mind me calling, I just wanted to know if you could drop by my house later?"
"Oh hold on let me ask!" I turned to my aunt and begged her to let me go. She nodded and said, "Why not?"
"Okay, she said I could come! What time?"
"Around 7"
"Okay! See ya then! Bye!" I hung up just as we were pulling in the drive way. OHMYGOSH! I'm going over to Cody's house! I looked at the clock it was already 6:00..."oh crap I gotta get ready!" I screamed as I ran into the house. This was going to be an amazing night!
