We get to the DEO to find they have already started to question Chextin. When it looks like Kara is distracted, I sneak to my room to change. As I'm changing, I suddenly hear the door open and I jump from the suddenness of the action. I find one beautiful hero standing there. Suddenly a blush takes up her face and she turns around, "uh sorry, Y/N."

At first I'm confused, then I look down to see I am only in a sports bra and spandex. Now I'm the one blushing. I quickly throw on sweatpants and a sweatshirt from my bag.

"Oh my god."

I look at Kara, "What's wrong?!"

She points to the part of my suit sticking out of my bag, "It's you. You're her. I knew those eyes looked familiar."

I quickly shove the suit completely in my bag and zip it up. I should've been more careful. Not that I never wanted her to know, I just wanted to tell her, have her hear it from me. Not to find out accidently.

"Um, well, this isn't how I wanted this to go."

"Were you planning on telling me?"

"Of course, I just didn't know when or how."

"You know what, we don't have the time to talk about this. I was just planning on checking on you, but you seem to be just fine. "

"Kara! Wait!"

She ignored me and kept walking. Damn it. This is what happens when you make friends, y/n. I just put on my bag and head towards Chextin. J'onn and him are talking.

"Chextin, J'onn, I'm sorry I can't talk now. I-,"I see Kara take off, "I gotta go."

I run to the window and fly after her.  I see her land in her apartment and head that way. Once I land I call out to her, "Kara! Come on. Can we please talk?"

She opens her door, "Why?"

"Because, I don't want you mad at me."

"Well, ya did a good job there," she rolls her eyes, "Were you EVER going to tell me?"

"Of course, I was. Kara, you were the first person I wanted to tell. I just didn't know when, or how to tell you."

"Right."

I walk up to her, "Think about it for a second. There are people who you didn't tell until you were ready. That's just what I was waiting for. I didn't want you to like me because you and I fight crime together, I wanted you to like me because of the kind of person I was, not the fancy hero that came with."

"I, of all people, would be the last person to do that."

"I know. I just didn't want to risk anything. Kara, you are the one person in this universe, who I couldn't stand losing."

"Then why didn't  you tell me?"

"Kara, I told you already."

"It's not a good enough reason."

"I thought you, of all people, would understand the need to be ready before you drop a bomb like this."

The door opens and I turn to see Maggie and Alex. Maggie gives a confused look, noticing the tense atmosphere, "What's going on?"

I sigh and shake my head, "Nothing. I was just leaving."

Maggie notices the sadness on my face and tries to stop me from leaving, but it's no use. I just keep walking. I don stop until I get to my house and lay on my bed. Dear gods, what a mess.
