The drive to school was a lot shorter than normal. All of the lights went green before his mother had even gotten near to them, and he was lost in his own thoughts the whole time.

When he arrived, he was around half an hour early. The moment he'd stepped out of his car, it just a moment of scanning to see Dan. The boy was nowhere to be seen, and all the large groups of people gossiping about each other was intimidating. So many people with so many friends; it was strange.

He really only had two friends.

One's name was Rylee and the other was Chris. He could see Rylee at the end of the hallway, texting away on her dark colored phone. Shuffling through the crowd of people and ignoring a couple 'emo' insults thrown at him, he finally got to Rylee. She looked up and just said hi before looked back down to finish her text.

Realizing that Phil was wanting someone to talk to, she put her phone in her pocket and took her earbuds out before asking what was new.

He didn't really know what to say. It was just a normal day. he was about to tell her that he was just thinking about "his crush" which he had not mentioned was a boy, when Dan walked through the door across the hallway.

He felt his stomach churn and he contemplated leaving Rylee to go say hi to Dan.

Rylee was asking what was wrong and tapping his shoulder when Phil realized he'd been staring at the boy for over 10 seconds since he'd appeared from through the door. "Uh-Uhm, I.." Phil cut off, not knowing really how to explain what his 10 seconds of staring at Dan was.

Rylee raised an eyebrow, seeming to want Phil to finish.
"I just. thought that, um, Dan's outfit looked really cool. Yeah, and I'm going to go buy it later. It looks so amazing and I bet it would look so swaggy on me whe-"

Rylee put a finger to Phil's lips silencing him.

"You're gay for Dan. Am I correct?" she said, smirking and giving Phil a knowing look.
