Millie's pov
"Wow Finn. You sure know how to make me smile."
"I hope so." He have me a quick kiss on the cheek.
"I think our food is probably back now, I'm going to head back." Said Caleb, as Gaten followed.
"Great. Mills, want to stay behind a bit? We could talk..."
"Sure." I reply, thinking nothing of it.
Gaten's pov
"Hey kids... Where is my M and Finn?" Millie's mom asked worried.
"Um, I'm not sure... I'll go check!" I answered hoping she wouldn't get suspicious of anything.
"Oh thanks Gaten, no worries though, I'll get her." She answered sneakily. She knew something was going on...
"I'll go with you!" I exclaimed, but I think all the moms have some sort of telepathy because all at the same time, every single mom, including mine answered,
"No Gaten stay here!" Like dang, how did you know what I was up to? Well crap, what am I supposed to do?
"Mom I'm going to use the bathroom." Caleb chimed in. I think I know what he's doing, all I can do is sit back and see what happens. He starts to run, beating Millie's mom to Millie and Finn. Whew, that was close. I'm sure Caleb has it from here.
Caleb's pov
Come on feet hurry it up!
"Millie! Millie, Finn!" I screamed, trying to be soft enough so Millie's mom doesn't hear.
"Your mom is coming Millie, she's suspicious! Leave, go somewhere I don't know where, but you can't stay here or she'll get mad!" I tell them. She hasn't told Finn, but I know, I can just sense that she knows why she can't be caught, alone, with Finn. Especially by her mom.
"I'll pretend I'm going to the bathroom!" Millie's says as she dashes away.
"Why is this a big deal? We've been alone before." He says. I'm not sure if Millie wants him to know about how they can't be together...
"I'll tell you later, go on the slide!" I say, then run to the bathroom. Luckily the bathroom is in the back of the building.
Kelly's pov (Millie's mom)
"Millie! Millie!" Where is she. I know they were both back here...
"Finn!"
"Yes Kelly? I'm up here, on the slide." Finn said politely.
"Where is Millie?"
"In the bathroom, I was just up here playing in the slide, I may be 14 but I'm still 5 at heart!" Finn said.
"Okay Finn, whatever you say... tell M to come to the table when she gets out, okay?"
"Yes, no problem." Suspicious...
Finn's pov
Why is everyone acting so different? I need to get to the bottom of this...
"Mills, your mom wants you to go to the table, but before you go, want to tell me why you and Caleb and Gaten are acting so weird?"
"What are you talking about?"
"We've never had to hide from your mom! Why did we this time? Is there something you need to tell me?"
"Finn, it's a long story, can we talk about this later?"
"I poured out my heart to you Mills, I want us to be able to tell each other everything. Okay? You can tell me anything..."
"Yes I know, but there's nothing to say, nothing is even going on, okay?" I'm not so sure about that, but I guess I'll take it... for now.
Millie's pov
How close was that? I need to be more careful next time... More importantly, what do I tell Finn? What a mess.
