Scarlett's POV

I guess you can say I've been waiting for this my whole life. Well, this and marriage. This was a whole range of emotions. This would be the first time moving to a different state, without my mom or even Nathan, and especially without my friends.

My room was covered with boxes. That was all that surrounded me. It was weird, it was a different experience. It was scary, and in the same way it was exciting and fun. I don't even know some of the emotions I'm going through. I'm moving out tomorrow. Jack and I are driving together tomorrow and moving to Massachusetts. It's a three hour drive, but we couldn't afford the plane and we would rather "roadtrip" it.

My mom was downstairs doing the normal routine, while I was upstairs worrying around like crazy. What was I going to do without everyone. I didn't even know what to do, it was crazy.

My mom had set up a party for tonight. Everyone that ever mattered to me was going to be there for a goodbye party. My mom was supposed to be putting up all the decorations while Lucy treated me to some "half sister" time.

Out of the corner of my eye, I could see the flap of one of the boxes sticking straight up.

"I guess she didn't close this box." I whisper, scooting myself over to the box and looking inside of it to see what I'm supposed to label it. It was full of pictures, books, and memories.

One by one, I picked up some pictures and started looking through the box. One picture was of me and Jack. It was when we were dating the first time. He had his arm around me, but we were blushing like crazy. He had his fake glasses on at the time too, it was because he wanted to look "cool". I laughed to myself while putting the picture on the floor beside me.

One picture was of me Suzanne, Jennifer, and Lucy. We were all at Suzanne's annual "non birthday" party. Lucy and I were furthest away from each other, while Suzanne had her arm around me. We were smiling and laughing while the picture was taken. Jennifer had her braces on, the ones she hated so much.

The next picture was of me and my mom. I was a baby, and she was holding me in her arms. She had a big bright smile on. She was in her bathing suit, we were apparently on a vacation in Florida.

Another picture was taken about a year ago. It was of me and Brent. He was playing soccer, and I was on the sidelines cheering for him. And the next picture was after the game. They had lost and were mad. My mom wanted the picture, but Brent was horrified that they had lost. He had his game face on while I was goofing off to the camera

I quickly shoved all the pictures I had thrown on the ground back in the box, and taped it up. I wiped a small tear that was forming in my eye away. I walked down the stairs to greet my mother who was drinking her coffee.

"Lucy is coming to pick you up." She says with a smile on her face. She was happy that Lucy and I were getting on better. If you're wondering - yes I forgave Suzanne. Why, because I don't care that she had sex with Brent, I'm with Jack and I'm happy.

_______________

Lucy came to get me about 4 hours ago. Currently we are in a Forever 21 store using my left over giftcard. She's helping me pick out clothes for Massachusetts. She said that I could get it mailed to the dorm I'm staying in.

We've been in a million of other stores and I was thinking we would be ready to leave already. Right when I was about to tell her we should get going she gets a buzz from her phone, and she instantly drags me over to the checkout.

She buys the clothes and tells the lady to deliver it to Harvard University. Then she rushes me out to the parking lot and makes me change clothes. She suggests a nice dress that comes to my thighs. I turn it down and get out something that is more modest.

"This one." I say, showing her the dress that comes just about my knees. She agrees and lets me change in private. Once I'm changed and ready she drives to my house and makes me close my eyes, although I'm already peeking.

I can see out of the little hole from my fingers, some lights and streamers surrounding my house. And cars, a lot of cars. She helps me out of the car and I cover my eyes for good, leaving me in complete and utter darkness. She helps me to the backyard, and finally lets me open my eyes to see a complete party in front of me.

Everyone I loved was there. Suzanne, Jennifer, My mom and Nathan, Jack, Brent, Luke, even Jack's sister is there. I make my way to everyone and thank them for coming. Everyone tells me I'm growing up too fast, and they are sad to see me leave.

After seeing everyone, even Brent, I make my way to the drink section. And grab myself a coke. Jack follows close behind me and puts his arms around my waist.

"Can't wait for tomorrow babe." He says. My stomach takes in his words and they give me butterflies. We've only been dating for a month since I agreed, even though we had already had a relationship before.

_______________

Before I knew it, it was midnight and we had partied for five long  hours. Everyone was either already home or heading home. Jack, my mom, and I were the only ones left. We were cleansing up the mess everyone had made. It was totally worth it though.

After the long two hour clean up, Jack and I headed up to my bedroom and instantly fell asleep. Well, I think Jack was the only one who slept. I couldn't. I was worried and frightened.

I don't know what Massachusetts could bring. But I never knew it would bring us some hardships.
