Kennedi's POV

My boyfriend Aaron had invited me to go on a road trip with his family so that we could get to know each other more! Today was the road trip and believe me, I was not ready for this at all! It's not like I don't love his family because I do love them, they're very sweet. Its the road trip I don't like. Being stuck in a car with more than two people for hours and not knowing where your going is a little bit too much for me. I was sitting on my suitcase outside texting some friends about the road trip. Aaron comes out and softly massages my shoulders making me smile.

"Your so tense baby, are you ok?" Aaron ask still massaging. I place one hand one his and look up at him.

"Yeah, just a little nervous is all!" I smile then look back at my phone.

"About what? You've met them before, they love you!" He say sitting down on the suitcase next to me.

"It's not your family I'm nervous about, babe. Its--never mind. stupid!" I say smacking my head a little bit and looking down at the ground. Aaron went quiet for a second, then pulled my hips making me sit on his lap.

"Kennedi please tell me! You know I hate it when you do that." He wrapped his hands around my waist to make sure I don't fall and he bobbs his leg up and down making me bounce. I laugh and squeeze his leg making him stop.

"I just don't like road trips." I say honestly.

"Then why did you say you'll--"

"Because I wanted to spend time with you and your family!" I say cutting him off.

"Babe!" He says filling a little guilty.

"Don't be mad! I wanted to go and I am going. I'm not gonna cancel last minute just because of some stupid fear!" I say placing my head on his shoulder. He rested his chin on top of my head after leaving a kiss. Few minutes later we see a SUV van pull up in the driveway. Aaron's dad sticks his head out of the drivers window and waves at us. We wave back and I gets up from Aaron's lap to properly greet them. 

"Hi." I say hugging his mom as she got out the passengers side. She hugs me back and leaves a kiss on my cheek. I hug his sister next, then his dad. Aaron greets his family as well and we all walk inside together. 

"So how are you two? Are you excited?" His mom ask.

"Yes I am!" I reply. kind of a lie.

"Oh what are we doing sitting around? Go help Aaron with the bags!" She says smacking Aaron's dad in the chest playfully. Aaron and his dad packs the van with the bags while Aaron's mom, sister, and I made sure every window and door was locked then met up with the guys outside.

"Everyone ready to go?" Aaron's dad ask. We said yes and got in the van. Aaron's mom and dad sat in the front, Aarons sister sat in the middle row, and Aaron and I sat in the back. The first few hours of the ride was fun. We sang ridiculous karaoke, we played a round of 'Eye Spy' which Aaron won because he could spot a cow a mile away. After a few hours it got quiet and tiresome. Aaron's mom and sister fell asleep along with Aaron. It was just me and Aaron's dad. He didn't talk much which made it so awkward. We pulled up into a gas station.

"Pee Break!" Aaron's dad yells. Everyone but Aaron woke up and got out. I stayed in the van because I didn't feel too comfortable going in there without Aaron. I scooted closer to him and looking out his window. I felt an arm wrap around me which surprised me at first. I look down to see Aaron holding me. I smile and kiss him on his forehead, then look back out the window.

"That's the worst kiss I've ever gotten from you!" He says. I look back down at him. His eyes were opened and he was looking up at me with disappointing eyes. I smile again and lean in for another kiss. He kisses me passionately then sits up sliding me onto his lap.

"You were awake?" I asked cuddling onto his chest.

"Mhm." He mumbles into my neck.

"Why did you stay behind?" I asked.

"Because I knew if I stayed back then you would too. Then I would have you all alone!" He smirks. I laugh and playfully smack him on the chest. He chuckles and pulls me down with him. We were laying on the seat holding each other for awhile until we driffed off to sleep. We didn't even realize the others had gotten back into the van.

Maybe this trip will be good after all. As long as I stay with Aaron it'll be great!
