Even though I can't say it, I know it’s true.
Even though it decayed inside me,
It was for you.
The love I had sat in my throat waiting to be spoken.
But I had no courage to think the fear that stopped me could be broken.
It was just a crush at first,
then it grew to more.
Before I knew it you were the one I adored.
You did everything that had to be done
in ways,
it outshined the sun.
Every time you spoke,
like a breach of privacy,
I listened.
Thus, it was no surprise when they came that summer
And every man asked for your hand;
bleeding with luster.
You approved, and said "I do".
And my eyes turned to fury in the presence of you.
I lowered my head in shame.
"Why had I not asked her to wear my ring?"
Your name never sounded the same to me.
It drew in pain,disgust
and calamity.
Years passed on and you forgot,
but I remembered still deep in thought.
It was my fault, I never told you of the love I had.
How I hungered to be your man,
and lead you to bliss by one warm hand.
I will say it now, even if it holds no token.
In hopes you will fix me as I lie broken.
My lips part and scream out in shame:
You are my love and will always be!
Please hear my call and come to me!
Mend my wounds that I have made.
Take my shame out of the devil's vain.
Grasp my heart and make it beat in sync with yours,
for there is no other that I adore.
I lied when I said I never loved you in such a way.
I've loved you every single day...
Make me your beloved and forget them all.
Please remember my name as I call!
I listen for a return and hear nothing but a cold wind.
I guess you could not forgive my sin.
My heart sinks and begins to rot;
and those memories I thought I forgot,
Pierce me through in a single shot.
My knees buckled and my happiness wore.
There is no more of the love I adored.
It died as I hit the floor.
