Would it be different if you weren't here?
In some way could I embrace people,
instead of being shackled by fear...
...Fear that when I am near,
I will only bring tears...
When and if you are gone,
Will my family and I, finally be able to get along?
Rage I beg of you!
Please release me from this cage!
Allow me to grow calmer as I age.
I need my fist to stop pumping
and causing destruction.
If only my heart could take charge
and stop this vile eruption.
Rage I beg of you!
Please release me from this cage!
Allow me to grow calmer as I age.
The flame you ignite is painful at touch.
But yet... it provides. Such a rush...
Rage I beg of you!
Please release me from this cage!
Allow me to grow calmer as I age.
Black shades engulf this facade,
and with all my might
I battle and fight,
to become victor
and escape the dark, that seems so bright...
Will I heed others advice?
Or will you rage, suffice...
Rage I beg of you!
Please release me from this cage!
Allow me to grow calmer as I age.
You crawl into my actions like lice.
Even after I kill you twice!
You resurface to attack in trice.
After falling countless times,
I begin to wonder again:
Would it be different if you weren't here?
In some way could I embrace people,
instead of being shackled by fear...?
With one quick pull or adrenaline,
My qualms are erased,
And again I take it pace by pace.
I gain an upper hand,
And over you I tower.
As you fall, I rise in power.
And finally my true self blooms
Like a flower.
In time, my mind finally clears
And provides wisdom for you to hear:
Rage is a burdened task,
that all doubted I would pass., I had no help from any others but,
with flying colors,
I'm at the top of my class...
