Just realized how many typos are in here, and there pretty bad. So I fixed em, and thats the last time I write on an iPhone. Stupid Autocorrect wrote pepper instead of pulled.
PROLOGUE:
I stared up at the silvery crescent moon illuminating the night sky. The stars were barely visible, thanks to the bright city lights of Los Angeles. A cool summer breeze tousled my long black hair.
" Woman, move your ass!" Emily yelled, ten feet ahead of me. Her bright crimson hair standing out against the black night. Beside her was Abby, in cut of jean shorts and a whit t-shirt that read : " Look Up Perv," across her chest. Her heavily layered hair was streaked with blue and pink. Seth leaned against a black car, he had brown hair that fell to his chin and wicked green eyes.
We'd all been Friends since the sixth grade. Emily was the out spoken artistic one, Abby the daring, wild child. I liked to think of Seth as our own personal comedian.
"Coming!" I yelled running toward them.
"That's what she said," Seth smiled, and we burst into fits of laughter. Emily jumped into the driver's seat.
"Scooch over momma. I'm drivin'," Abby said dangling the keys in front of Emily's brown eyes.
" As crazy as you are?" she snatched the keys away, " I don't think so!"
Abby pouted and slid int toe passenger seat. Four surf-boards were piled in the back, leaving only a seat and a half. Set slid in leaving me with the half-seat.
" Looks, like you're gonna have to sit in my lap." He joked. I felt myself blush.
" Or you can walk," I retorted. Abby laughed.
"Whatever Lexa, you know you want to," she turned in her seat to make kissy faces at us.
" Why do we need surfboards anyway?" I asked squeezing into the car, " I thought we were going to a party."
" We are," Emily said putting the car in drive, " accept it's more like a bonfire on the beach."
" You know we get the best waves at Laguana Cove," Seth said, " especially at night."
" Thats like an hour away!" I argued, " and I didn't bring a swimsuit."
I looked down at my clothes. I was wearing a skin tight off-shoulder dress and heels. So not beach apparel. Abby flashed a handful of lime green fabric and strings.
" Got you covered babe," she grinned.
The ride went by fast. It felt good to have the wind blowing through my hair, I stared up at the moon, finding myself hypnotized yet again by her silvery glow. My grey eyes turn the same shade in the sun. I felt a chill run down my spine, and shivered.
" Cold?" Seth asked, wrapping his arms around me and and squeezed me to his chest. Abby and Emily giggled and I felt my cheeks flood with heat.
" Can't.... Breathe.... God dammit Seth are you trying to kill me?" I said in a fake strangles voice. He laughed, the sound rumbling from his chest, causing my heart to skip a few beats.
I pulled away and brushed the hair from my eyes. Emily pulled the car up right on the beach. Seth and Abby jumped out to grab the boards. Emily threw me my bikini and put the top of the convertible up.
I changed quickly, kicking of my heels and shoving my clothes under the seat. The sand, cool and fine as powder, seeped trough my toes. Abby, now in a purple leopard print bikini, and Emily, in a swim suit that matched her hair, lead me to the fire. Our boards stood in the sand beside Seth, who was waxing his and mine.
