We sat gathered in Ashley and Damens room, every one clean, fully clothed and sad. Blaise lit several candles in the room with a snap of her fingers.

" This just in, a fire in central park. Atleast four bones of some sort of dog were found. Eye wittnesses report hearing howling and snarls of a dog fight before the fire appeard from out of nowhere. One woman repots seeing some sort of flashing light before the blaze appeard. Many are wondering Just what  cause this mysterious uproar of flames? Was it an arsonist crashing a dog fighting ring, a new gang set out to terrorize the streets of  the NYC, or mabey, possibly, aliens? This is Richelle Hollander reporting live from the station. Good morning New York! You're watching channel 5 news at nine."

Mark stood, in the window watching the rain beat down heavy and steadily. A flash of lighting illuminating his figure the outline of him form. I stood up and walked toward him, wraping my arms around him in a gesture of comfort, his hand found my lower back awkardly.

" I'm sorry." It was all I could say, It was all I knew how to say lately, but what do you say to someone who has seen the only family memer they had left die horrible, violent death? I honestly had no clue The least I could do was offer some sort of comfort. " She's safe and happy now, and living as long as we do I bet you'll see her in another life. But right now we need to move on."

He nodded.

" A wise wolf once told me not to hang on to the past because theres nothing we can do to change it. We just need to keep standing strong and look toward a future. Keep fighting so that this doesn't happen to any one else."

I pulled away, he had a sad smile on his face. " I didn't say all that."

" You should know me by now Mark," I said teasingly, " I'm a bit of a drama queen, I like to exaggerate."

A small chuckle escaped his lips. " You're a good Alpha Lexa." He turned and headed toward his room.

One problem fixed, well fix-ish. Two more to go. First I needed to explain everything to my pack, then I needed to settle things with Brendon.

I took a deep breath, and  turned around to face my pack.

" So um you know why Paul and Luna got, uh you know dead?"  Aaron said, quite awkwardly on his behalf.

I took a deep breath. " I was just going to tell you that actually." I paused and looked at everyone. " They've been making rouges intentionally, they wanted to make our pack the strongest and planned to out the supernaturals to the  human world. They said that once the huumans fouond out about out world they'd do anything to live forever, and they would come to us to exchange eternal servitude for immortality."

John swore under his breath.

" John, how did they change you?" I asked a question that has been bothering me since the day I met him. I sat down ready to take everything in.

" It's a long story, one that you guys aren't read to hear right now, all I can say is that I didn't change back willingly, though that is one thing I can thank Luna and Paul for." He replied.

" How did they change you back?" I asked again, not pleased with his answer.

" I don't know." He said.

I stood up. " What do you mean you don't know!" I shouted. " You don't know how the hell you go from rouge to a regular wolf! This could save so many lives! Did you see how many people died out there? Young men, teenage girls. I lost a pack member because of this, and you can't tell me what the fuck they did tou change you back!"

I felt my body shaking, the wolf inside beging to be released.

" Woah, Lexa calm down." Justin said grabing my wrist. I snatched it away from him.

" Don't tell me to calm down!" I growled and he sat back into his chair submissively.

" If I knew I would have told you!" John yelled, " You don't think I want to change this? To stop The Others all together. I do, trust me Alexa I do. It kills me every single minute of everyday to know that theres people out there who haven't had a chance to live their lives yet. I got a second chance. They didn't, and I chose to be a rouge. Those kids didn't even know what the hell was going on. Do you think thats fair?" He asked, his voice softer now. " Do you think I deserve a second chance?"

I opened my mouth to answer him when I heard a knock at the door. We all froze, staring at the chipped white paint on the door.

 Knock. Knock. Knock.

I walked toward it, opening up my senses before opening it.

" Is everthing okay here? " A short woman said, her red lipstick was smuged in a corner of her thin lips.

" Yes. Why?" I asked in a calmed voice.

" Theres been some complaints about the noise." She ran her old knarled fingers through her thinning dyed red hair.

" Okay, we'll keep it down." I assured and closed the door. Locking it.

" She said keep it quiet." I said. " I'm taking a nap."

All eyes were on me as I made my way to the room where Calla slept. Sitting down on the edge of the mattress I held my head in my palms and let out a long shaking breath.

The cogent. The thought hit me suddenly.

A wolf far more powerful than you or any other.

Many were willing to kill for it.

......... took him. Hid him. No one knows where.

We needed to find him. Before The Others did. Or this might just be the end. Of everything.
