Crescent and I found ourselves above ground at midnight, surrounded by the wailing and screeching of alarms. Yellow lights flashed everywhere while one remained directly upon us. "Intruders. . . Intruders. . . Intruders," the robotic voice called out.

They were in someone's yard from the looks of it, and if this was the common house alarm, there would be very little chance of getting out alive. Everything seemed to float and shine with light, white or off white, making it look yellow or cream-ish. The buildings were all smooth and magnetized, constantly curving and layered like armor on an elbow. Above were rails with bullet trains speeding on them. Taller buildings reached toward the sky and oval sphere vehicles floated above.

It was obvious we were on the outskirts of the city because as we looked deeper, more curved buildings clustered with even more rails stretching and dodging them. There were even orbs above the buildings, but water ran throughout the whole city. Small rivers ran through people's gardens and flowers of every type grew.

Quickly, robots built into the person's house rolled out and rebuilt themselves into androgynous figures. "You are under arrest for trespassing." The androids echoed each other and repeated it in every known language. "Please get on your knees and wait for transportation to the station." We did as we were told and found glass spheres opening up, then closing in under us. Before we lifted off the glass darkened until we could see nothing on the outside. There were miniscule silver dots inside the glass, however, that just barely set off a glow.

"Stay on your knees," a monotonous tone spoke and steel cords erupted from the top, holding my wrists and tightening to string them above my head until I was no longer on the ground. They then erupted from the bottom and wrapped themselves around my ankles and squeezed. I was held in place as the sphere flew and I found myself in extreme discomfort during the whole flight. I wanted to rip the damn cords hunt down the genius who incorporated the damn thing.

Once I got over my annoyance at my capture, I realized that the orb was sound proof and pretty good at a steady flight, I wasn't jarred around like I had been expecting, but it was still terribly uncomfortable. I didn't feel the landing, just saw the sphere collapse around me as I was help in an iron room. Crescent would be most uncomfortable, even with her pills.

I wasn't alone, much to my dismay, in fact I was with a human cyborg. She had porcelain skin and charcoal hair. Frown lines marred her face and bags underneath her eyes made her seem about forty, but she smelled as if she were in her early thirties. Her right arm was full on machinery and her stomach seemed to be made of titanium. Her left foot was also mechanical, while her right calf seemed to have electrical currents running through it. She was about forty-five percent machinery and it didn't seem to please her all that much.

"State your business," she drawled, utterly bored.

"Just passing through," I replied, "What happened to you?"

"I'm not here to answer your questions, you're here to answer mine," She walked toward me with dull eyes staring, " Why were digging in our outside factor's gardens?"

"Just thought it would be fun," I smiled.

She sighed and took a tazer out from behind her and her voice came out slightly annoyed, " Look, I haven't got all night-"

The iron wall behind me rolled down as a full human entered in running, "Liz! They're refugees running from the queen's coven! The other chick is hafling and this one's daughter!"
