I didn't know how to respond. It might just be pity. I don't think I CAN answer him now. But what do I tell him? I was just laying there thinking.
" Lia," Elijah sounded so sad " you don't have to answer me right away I know you have other stuff to worry about but no matter what you say right now or whenever I will still be your friend."
I tried to open my eyes but it hurt to much. I couldn't think of anything to say. All I managed to go out my mouth was about small "sorry".
"Don't worry about it Lia, I shouldn't have told you now." He said solemnly, " How about I'll say it again when you are feeling better and you can answer me then, OK?"
I smiled at that statement. He is the most understanding person I have ever met, this is why I like him. I slightly shook my head in agreement. We stayed talking for a while longer and surprisingly it wasn't akward. I couldn't stop thinking about when he kissed me but I never brought it up.
It was 12:30 now but I couldn't sleep. My mind was on Elijah and the bracelet Jones have me. I couldn't figure out why Elijah got mad when he saw the bracelet, have something to do with his confession? It has been a week and 2 days that I have been in the hospital, the nurse said that I could leave tomorrow since my stab wounds have healed and my foot is almost healed so I'm going back to school in two days. I was so excited. I still can't see and I have to wear bandages over my eyes and I have to use crutches but I'll be able to talk to my friends again and that is good. Thinking about all of this I slowly drifted off to sleep.
I woke up at 12 in the afternoon and Elijah was already here. I was excited because I was getting out today. I sat up and said good morning to Elijah.
"You seem to be in a very good mood today, I wonder why. " Elijah said sounding smug and I knew that I was in for a day of teasing.
"Hey idiot, remember I'm getting out today?" I said a bit annoyed.
"I knew before you, so who's the idiot now?" He countered. I hate how he only smart when it comes to proving me wrong. I growled at him a little but he just chuckled before continuing, " anyway someone is waiting to pick us up so eat quickly then get dressed in this."
He put a tray of food on my lap and close on my bed then left. Problem is I can't get dressed by myself because of my foot and I can't see. I ate my food then called for a nurse to help me get dressed.
It took me about 15 minutes to get dressed even with help but when I finally did I got my cruches and the nurse led me to Elijah who was wait outside the door.
" Finally, I've been standing here for about 25 minutes" Elijah said playfully when I walked out, " anyway let's go Lia"
He gently held my arm and led me to the front desk so I could say thank you. Once I did we left. It was a bit chilly outside but it seemed like a pretty nice day. After a few more steps I heard someone call my name, well actually two people.
