My dad wasn't slick, I knew the second we hit the twenty minute mark in the car that I was in for a long conversation and it wasn't going to be good; I remember him bring me on one of these long ass drives when my pet rabbit died, and the time he caught me skipping school (after I got my ass whooped), or the time he caught me getting head from this girl in his grotto (should've let me finish) but I knew whenever we went on one of these drives I had to sit back and try to pay attention. I really wished he'd just get to saying whatever he was going to say because I really wanted to go chill with my girl and I knew he wanted to talk about Cam, I low key regret letting Noah tell him because now I was stuck here. An hour later we were sitting on a hill overlooking the city, I watched as he pulled out a big ass burger and started eating it knowing he wasn't supposed to be eating that shyt but I'd use that against him later if need be.

"Cori I didn't know that Cam was cheating on Liberty, I mean I had my suspicions but nothing ever came of it until Noah told me what you saw. I'm not going to justify what Cam did but you can't be swinging on him every time you get mad, you're a man now Cori..... if you got something to say, say it. You and Cam should sit down because at the end of the day he's your father and you'll never get the answers you want until you talk to him." Dad number one said.

"He's not my dad..... you are but I'll talk to him, after I go see Paris." I said getting back in the car. "And dad we really could've had this conversation at home." I said as he got in the car.

"I know but sometimes I like to sneak off and eat shyt I'm not suppose to, just don't tell Marcus because I'm not opposed to telling him you bought it for me. Let's get back home and Cori........" He said looking at me and I couldn't help but smile, I already knew what he was thinking and he didn't have to worry about me when it came to Paris because I was too young to be somebodies dad.

After my dad dropped me off back home I went to meet up with Paris, the closer we got to graduation the less time we had to spend together she was going to Howard and I'd be going to Florida State so we wouldn't see each unless we made the twelve hour drive every weekend or I could catch a flight but still I wanted to spend as much time together as we could and also put off this one on one with Cam.

"I told my grandma that I was staying over one of my friends this weekend...." Paris said smiling.

"Oh word..... which is really code for I need to find a way to sneak you into my house; I might have to go restock up on condoms." I said pulling her close to me. "So I was thinking when we get college we......." Paris pressed her lips to mine and we stayed like that for a couple minutes.

"No college talk until after Spring Break...... which reminds me I have to go shopping this weekend for bikinis you wanna come with me?" Paris asked.

"Does a bear shyt in the woods and wipe it's ass with a rabbit? Hell yeah I'm coming I might even help you put them on and take them off if you let me...... what time is your grandma leaving for that church dinner?" I asked, twenty minutes later we were laying in her bed.

"Cori.... stop, we'll have more than enough time to do that this weekend but I need to ask when are you going to talk to your dad?" Paris asked and I shrugged. "Cori....." She said and I didn't feel like arguing so I pulled her body close to mind and started kissing her.

"I'll go when I leave here..... I promise." I said as Paris started rubbing my dick, right as my pants were coming down I heard movement downstairs and the old bat calling out Paris's name. "Distract her while I climb out the window." I said kissing her as Paris jumped up, thank God her room was on the first floor as I quickly gathered my stuff and made my exit..... I guess I could go deal with my dad hopefully I didn't swing on him.

I've always hated this house..... it just didn't feel like home, every time I came over I felt like I was a friend's house where I had to ask to get something to eat or use the bathroom... not that they made me ask it just felt like I had to. I always found that weird because I had no problem walking into my Uncle Devin's house and eating up everything whatever they had in the fridge or when I'm at Uncle Sa'vion's using the bathroom in his room because it was bigger, or hell even bringing Paris over to Uncle Domo's whenever my dads were trippin but here was unfamiliar territory. I got out and started to knock on the door Lauren opened it looking pissed.

"You better get here before I knock her ass out...... the audacity of that bitch." Lauren said pissed and at first I thought she was talking about my mom but then I saw Camille sitting there and everything became clear.

"You are about the most ungrateful little bitch I've ever met in my life." Camille said walking over and hugging me and staring down Lauren.

"What do you want from me Camille? I said thank you for the dresses but I'm never going to wear them, I don't DO dresses and you know that so what do you want me to do pretend that I'm excited because I'm not with that fake shyt." Lauren said and she had a point she never wore dresses even when we were little so I highly doubted that would change now.

"I want you to stop running around here like a little ass boy, all you wear are jeans and basketball shorts. That's not cute nor ladylike, maybe if you start dressing like a girl you could actually pull a dude." Camille said.

"Trust me Camille I definitely know I'm a female..... every time I get my pussy licked I know I'm a female and you are the last person to be lecturing me on getting a man because you haven't had one since that one dude who smelled like cottage cheese." I just stood there trying not to laugh because this shyt was funny to me, it's times like these I was glad I wasn't raised around a bunch of women.

"Both y'all shut up, I'm not trying to hear this arguing all damn day. Let's go get this damn food so I can start cooking before it gets too late..... hey Cori." My mom said kissing me on the cheek. "Hmm you must've just left Paris's house smelling all pretty...... you staying for dinner?" She asked grabbing her purse.

"Nah I gotta head home soon is Ca..... dad here?" I asked and she pointed to the kitchen before walking out with my sisters still staring at each other like they were about to start fighting. I walked in the kitchen and saw him in the backyard on the phone so I decided to sit down and wait for him and a few minutes later he walked in and stared at me.

"You want a drink? I feel like we're both going to need one for this conversation." He said wiping his hands on a towel.

"Nah I'm good so I gotta ask were you just talking to that bitch?" I asked pointedly.

"Cori look......" He said but stooped.

"I can take you forgetting my birthday for the last five years because in all honesty I forget yours too, I can even take that little interview you did last year where you conveniently forgot to mention that you had a son when asked about your family because let's face I haven't been your son since I was born....... but I'm not going to take you disrespecting my mom so openly." I said heated.

"Cori..... your mom has been cheating on me for the last five years and at first I tried everything to make it work but she just doesn't love me anymore.... the only reason we're still together is because we're waiting for Lauren to graduate before we make things official." Cam said and I could see the sadness in his eyes. "You know what the craziest thing is..... Legacy is the one who told me." He said taking a shot as I tried to process everything.

"So Uncle Legacy knew you were cheating on his sister and he's cool with it?" I asked skeptically.

"He's the one who introduced me to....... look Cori I know you're mad at me and you have every right to be but me and your mom we've just grown apart." He said quietly.

"My issue isn't that y'all are getting a divorce or whatever, my problem is y'all going around like everything is sweet...... preaching about loyalty and honesty when neither on of y'all know the meaning of the words." I said heated. "I can't believe this shyt....." I said getting up and pacing around the kitchen.

"Cori you just don't realize how hard I tried to fix my marriage and I'm not saying cheating on your mom is coo but after three years of no sex....... I'm not making any excuses. You're an adult now Cori you can take this how you want, I love you and your sisters but me and your mom...... we're over." Cam said and I was too pissed to respond. "You should also know that there are only four people who know this and that's me, your mom, Legacy and now you..... I would really appreciate it if you didn't tell anyone." He said and instead of answering I just left, this was too much to deal with I needed someone to talk to and there was one person who I know has always been there when I needed to vent and that was my big brother Noah, because after everything I just heard I was probably going to lose it and he was the only person who could talk me down...............
