Prince POV
That one lasted for quite some time until we both needed to catch our breaths.
"So Wanda did I please you?"
"Yes you did after all make me breathless."
"You're also smiling again."
"Well I've..."
"Don't give out excuses."
"I wasn't going to."
"Don't lie to me I can tell."
"Arrogant, alpha, male, wolf. You really know how to push my buttons."
"I also know how to kiss you properly to make you shut up."
"Are we arguing?"
"Sounds like it."
"You're pretty smug about it."
"No I'm not smug but I am careless about petty arguments."
"Well..."
"Wanda I need you to be strong and tell me what is on your mind."
"It's Andrew he is starting to make threats on both of our lives. Your threat is for the experiment and you can't live anymore to tell his secret. My life well... before you came here we dated but then that ended and he proposed many times but I refused him and now..."
"So what you're saying is that since your attention is toward me he plans on eliminating every threat to his ego since we are making a fool of him."
"That is the basics."
"He is no threat to me I can kill him."
"I will stop you."
"How would you do it?"
"I can castrate you, you know."
"Spare me that trouble."
"I may if you kiss me again."
"Your hard to sate you know that."
She didn't care so I did as she asked but when I sat down she discovered what I was trying to hide.
"So how do you feel about me Prince?"
"You tell me you can see or feel for yourself."
"Well I just wanted to hear it from you."
"You do? Well then I won't disappoint. You're a beautiful woman Wanda and smart as well. This is one trait that us males wish to find whether it be human or animal. As you can see or feel you cause that, to many a man with good eyes. I'm a little ashamed since we really don't know each other but as you now know that is what I've been trying to hide."
"Well it is um... shocking but onto another subject please."
"Very well so what is the research on the brain good for?"
"Mental diseases that humans can get."
"I see so if they get crazy do they go around biting people?"
"That is a disease called rabies and we still can't come up with a cure."
"Well at least you can try right?"
"Yeah but we are experimenting with a better test to check for it."
"What's the test you do now to check for it?"
"We have to cut off the heads of the animals and send them in for brain tissue samples."
"That's brutal."
"You're telling me. It is a shame though for they have to die even if they turn out negative."
"Yeah there is one more thing I want to ask you."
"What is it?"
"You don't have to answer it today but I can wait for it."
"Just ask me the question already."
"Would you consider being my mate?"
Wanda POV
I was shocked when he asked that question.
"I promise to protect you from anyone or thing that gets in your way."
"I don't doubt that."
I don't know what to say about this. He is an animal and I'm a human. We can never cross those barriers even if the formula changes that.
"I'll tell you once I made up my mind but for now we need some rest for tomorrow."
"I understand."
We both fell asleep in each other's arms. I felt safe and protected. Unlike when I was with Andrew always having to watch my guard. Prince is kind and considerate but arrogant. I think I have made my decision but I'll wait tomorrow to tell him.
