I stood there. The rustling of leaves against the wind, the way the branches moved..softly swaying. I breathed in and I exhaled. I looked up at the sky and I stared at the moon, its light bringing me a sense of comfort. I walked towards a large tree in the center of the forest and in the corner of my eye, I saw something move. I looked to see if something was there, but all I saw was the endless rows of trees. A chill ran through my spine and I felt a pair of eyes staring.

I felt exposed, but there was something warm and comforting. I couldn't figure it out. My body moved on it own, and it felt like a trance. I didn't know where I was going and what was happening. Then...

I stopped breathing.

I stopped moving.

My eyes stared at what was in front of me.

A deep green that glowed under the moonlight. It was beautiful. It was a deep viridian green with flecks of green gold in the center around the pupils. I saw my violet eyes reflected. I stared at the wolf in front of me. Its midnight dark fur flowed subtly against the breeze. I raised my hand, unaware of my action. I brought it closer and closer...

            "Ad-.."

Wait. What was that?

            "Addy..."

Huh?

           "ADDDYYYYYYYYYY!"

I opened one of my eyes and squinted from the light coming from my window.

"Addy, wake up. It time to eat breakfast."

I took my blankets and covered my face, annoyed that my dream ended. Suddenly, I felt the blanket pulled away from my body, leaving me cold. I groaned.

"Grannnnnn, just five more minutes pleasee."

My gran chuckled and before I could register what she was going to do. I bursted out in a fit of giggles. I wheezed, begging for her to stop tickling me.

"Gra- Gran stop. Stoppp. Alright. Alright I'll get up." I laughed tears forming in the corner of my eyes.

My grandmother smirked in triumph and told me to wash up and come down to eat. I nodded and as she walked out of the room. I lay on my bed, my arms bent behind my head. I stared at my ceiling and thought about the dream I had. I felt like I was missing something really important. I lifted my hand so that it stretched to the ceiling. After a minute of dozing off, I decided to get up from my bed and head to the bathroom.

"Hey, Addy! Good morning," Violet screamed into my head.

I swear I didn't know how she was so full of energy in the morning.

"Morning, Violet," I mumbled with a toothbrush in my mouth and toothpaste dribbling from my mouth. I rinsed my mouth with mouth wash and I grabbed my face towel, soaking it in warm water. Quickly washing my face, I trudged downstairs and instantly the smell of pancakes hit me. My stomach growled reacting to the sweet smell and my gran chuckled.

"Sit down. I made your favorite chocolate chip pancakes with honey glaze."

           "Thanks gran."

I walked over to my seat and sat down. I grabbed my knife and fork and started to dig in. I moaned in delight when the first bite entered my mouth. The chocolate melted in my mouth and the extra honey glaze satisfied my sweet tooth.
