Chapter 10: Chance

A/N: I KNOW DON'T KILL ME. I'm sorry I didn't update in awhile guys ;-; I was busy with my homework and studying for all my exams for the end of our midterm. I swear tests stress me out so much. We both laid on the ground and looked up at the sky.

"That was... wow."

Ares chuckled and turned around to look at me. I felt my cheeks warm up as he gazed at the side of my face.

"Hey Ares."

He hummed in response.

"I love you too."

Addison's P.O.V

We stayed on the ground in a comfortable silence. Ares laid next to me with his eyes closed. I felt much better after talking to Ares. I've lived with the secret for my entire life and I guess it just felt nice to know that someone beside my family knew about me. I turned over on my side and looked at Ares. I just laid there staring at him. Oh my god I'm such a creep, but I couldn't help it, Ares was just so perfect. I noticed a pale pink scar near his hairline and unconsciously I reached my hand up as I lightly traced the scar.
A smile formed on his face and took his hand on my hand and brought it to his lips. He feathered kisses on my palm. A ticklish sensation erupted from the areas he kissed my hand. I erupted in laughter.

"Stop st-stop, It tickles." I wheezed

A mischievous glint flashed in his eyes. Oh no. I scrambled up quickly and backed away. He got up and slowly walked his way up to me. I backed away each step he made towards me.

"Ares we can talk about this." I nervously chuckled.

When I saw that he continued to advance. In panic, I shifted. The familiar sound of bones snapping filled the silence and in a second I was in my wolf form. I stretched my limbs, excitement bubbled in me and Violet was happy to finally be able to run.
I looked up and I saw awe in Ares eyes.

"Your wolf is beautiful."

I showed a wolffish grin and turned around and started to run. The wind ran through my fur and I enjoyed the exhilaration as I pushed my legs to run faster. A howl echoed in the distance and I smirked. Hah try to tickle me now.

I noticed something on my right and I turned my head slightly and I couldn't help myself, but my mate's wolf was huge holy biscuits. He started to advance towards me and he playfully growled. He sped up and looked back at me and smirked.

"Oh, bring it on."

Violet let out a scoff.

"No offense to our mate, but he's definitely slower then us."

"Yup I agree."

"Alright Violet let's show our mates whose boss."

We let out a howl and started to run. We sped up slowly so it didn't show that we were faster than Ares. In a few second we saw a familiar black wolf in the distance. I smiled. Examining my surrounding I chose the path with the least amount of noise. I swiftly caught up to Ares. Quietly, I softly tackled Ares to the ground and I playfully licked his nose.

"Surprise!" I laughed as I mind linked Ares. Even though he didn't mark me yet, I still had my magic which let me mind link him without the mark, so he was even more surprised as my voice echoed in his mind.
