The sky was turning from orange to a deep blue as Anya walked under the canopy of trees, which were twinkling with fairy lights. She looked down at herself, and realized she was wearing the same shimmering blue gossamer dress she had worn two years ago.
The light breeze made her shiver; she wasn't used to wearing something so pretty and delicate, which left her shoulders bare except for the thin straps of her dress. She ducked under some branches as the long, winding road came to an end, lifting the hem of her dress slightly so she wouldn't stumble, and found herself in a large clearing.
There were dozens of white chairs set up, and a beautiful gazebo stood in one corner. The place was lit up with a million candles, their soft light making the clearing look a hundred times prettier.
With a sudden ache in her heart, Anya realized she knew where she was. She was back where the wedding reception had taken place; the only difference was that it was now devoid of the warmth and laughter of people. A slight movement in her peripheral vision made her start, and she squinted to make out the shape of a boy standing under the gazebo, looking dapper in a black tuxedo.
Her heart contracted slightly. It was Zayan. He beckoned to her, and she felt her legs under her move as she began to walk forward automatically, as if he were a magnet she was being pulled towards.
She came to a stop mere inches away from him, a feeling of uncertainty settling over her. But he smiled at her, and brought his hands up to wrap around her waist. He pulled her closer, tilting his face downwards so that his lips hovered close to hers. She took an uneven breath, and gazed into those chocolate brown eyes that she had missed for years. Was he going to kiss her? But, no- instead of closing the distance between them, he leaned forward to bring his mouth to her ear, and whispered, "I've missed you too, Anya. But now you need to wake up."

Anya bolted upright, gasping as tears silently streamed down her face. She turned her face to the open window, where dust motes danced in the sunlight. It was the first time she had cried in her sleep, but the dream had seemed so real. She couldn't deny that meeting Zayan had changed her life. Two years later, and she still wasn't over him. She had begun to wonder if she would ever be able to move on.

Sighing, she glanced at her clock and frowned. It was already 9am. Thankfully, she still had an hour to get dressed before she headed out to Central Park, where she was meeting Aiden. She swung her legs off the bed and walked over to her closet to pick an outfit. Remembering Faith's words about Aiden being hot, she selected a pretty lilac top and paired it with her signature blue jeans. Maybe he could help her forget Zayan, but she wasn't going to ditch her well worn-out jeans for skirts- the tomboy in her refused to let that happen.

After a quick shower and breakfast, she slipped on her sneakers, grabbed her cell phone and left for the park.

She soon found herself near the entrance of Central Park, tapping her foot impatiently. Aiden had asked for this, so why couldn't he turn up on time?

She finally spotted him ten minutes later, weaving his way between cars and traffic as he crossed the road. His footsteps slowed as he approached her, but she snapped her fingers irritably. "Why are you late? I've been here forever. Now get moving."

She spun on her heels and marched inside. He followed at a cautious pace, but he gave her his customary easy smile and asked, "So, are you always such a grouch with everyone or is it just with me? Because, you know, that's alright. I like to think I'm special to you."

She shook her head in disbelief as he winked at her. "For your information, you caught me at a bad time yesterday. And today... well, that's really all your fault for not being on time, isn't it?"
