I'm a bird in a cage sad and scared
My Wings broken beyond repair
Never free to fly away
never allowed to travel the world
All alone in this cage
Every move being watched
Like a pray being stalked
No where to go no where to hide
I can't fly
I'm a bird a broken bird
With broken wings and broken dreams
My sad cries heard but ignored
No one to save me no one to free me
My sad song heard all around the world
Anger, sadness, loss, regret, rejection, pain
All heard all ignored
I wait in my cage to be free
But no one comes
My friend once told me you want to be free
You have to free yourself
No one else can help you but yourself
So I wait and I wait but I don't know how to
Free myself.
So I sing and I sing
Letting it all out
Letting it be heard until I cry no more
Lonely and scared
I give up hope i give up everything
My dreams and my wishes
I'm a caged bird
Lonely and scared
Broken beyond repair.
