I've been trying soo hard to avoid spoilers for this episode (since I still had to review "Steal Away", but by now I'm sure that doesn't need a review), but thanks to the Descendants instagram, the spoilers have been unleashed.
So starting from the beginning of the episode, it starts with Audrey, Lonnie, Jordan, and Ally taking selfies and having fun. They're complimenting each other, and Audrey keeps wondering where Evie, Jay, Carlos, Freddy, and Jane are. But she's only concerned about them because she wants them to see her musical number. It doesn't make sense though because her number was already ruined thanks to Mal 😂
Okay now onto literally one of the best scenes in the series.
Even after all of the stuff she's done in the past, this was proof that Evie is the best friend ever. She actually gave up the chance of getting her jewel so Mal won't be alone!! I swear those two have been my friendship goals since the movie premiered.
As for Mal's jewel, I don't know where they put it after it was broken from the necklace, but I'm 100% that the curse will be broken. I know this because the very beginning of every episode (in Season 2) shows Mal and Evie in their jewel-bilee outfits, and Mal's jewel is seen on her chest with white diamonds surrounding it. If anything, my best prediction is that the spell will be broken by either Mal's spell book, or like any other Disney show...
The power of Friendship *makes a rainbow with my hands*
Okay now for the final part of the episode.
First off, I wanted to say that I love the comeback for Carlos and Jay's coronation outfits. But maybe change the hairstyle everyone once in a while? Either it's too much money or if they do that then they'll have to make dolls of them. Sometimes I feel like Disney is trying to make Descendants for girls, you know? But that's just my opinion.
Anyways, This is the scene when we are introduced to Zeevon, who's caught at attempting to take the jewels from the throne room.
From the looks of it, I can see that Jay and Zeevon don't have a good past. Jay was kind of in disgust while everyone else was confused. I wonder if Freddy recognized him...
Then it leaves on a cliffhanger, with Zeevon saying that he's your worst nightmare. For one, he stole Jay's line! You know, that part in Rotten to the Core when he says, "Your worst nightmare, can't take me home."
Oh geez.. I just realized I haven't listened to that song in a while.
But the point is, I'm glad Disney added a new Male Vk, since we have plenty of Female Ak's. Plus this should prepare us for Descendants 2, which will certainly provide plenty of kids and teens from the Isle of the Lost.
