There are so many new updates about the soundtrack I don't know where to start!!!
Okay first, the official list of songs is set (well obviously since we can preorder it but I ain't got no money 😅)
Here are the songs and my thoughts:
1. Ways to be Wicked
I'm glad we heard a few bits of this song during a few trailers, I just didn't expect them to release the whole song this early. More on that later, but other than that I think this a great song to start Descendants 2. Although the vks did become good and considering this the first song on the list, it's safe to say that (this is my guess don't judge) maybe Mal is having a bad dream about her and her friends taking over Auradon. It's just a quick theory though, so it's possible that it won't be true.
2. What's My Name
Honestly, this song could mean anything. Maybe Mal thinking about going to her home town? Or is it Uma's opening song? Who knows!
3. Chillin' like a Villain
Again, who knows what this could mean. We obviously know this has something to do with villains though.
4. Space Between
Our best bet is that this song is sung by Mal and Evie. Something about their friendship, I'm guessing? But it most likely surrounds them.
5. It's Going Down
I'm yelling timberrrrr
Oops... Wrong song.
Anyway, if you've watched the sneak peek video of Descendants 2, you'll know that some of this song plays at the end of the video. Judging by the title, I'm guessing this song will be similar to "It's On" from Camp Rock 2 where the protagonists and antagonists declare war. Kind if like Jarco vs Starco. (Tbh I'm on both sides XD)
6. You and Me
I'm guessing this is another friendship type song, but if it isn't, this better be a duet between Ben and Mal!! I would love to have them sing this once they reunite. Maybe add something in the song as well? *Cough* kiss *cough*
7. Kiss The Girl
Just like in the first movie, we had a cover of a Disney classic, "Be Our Guest" This time we'll have to covers from the same movie aka "The Little Mermaid"
The best I can do for the two songs is to connect them to, "Be Our Guest" In the first movie, Ben (and the other Ak's) preform this song to the parents before eating on Family Day. That's almost exactly what Lumiere did in BatB. So basically whenever there's going to be a cover, it's gonna be just like the original.
8. Poor Unfortunate Souls
Just read 7.
But tbh this is the song I'm the most excited for.
9, 10, and 11.
And as usual, there will be a few songs from Wicked World. These 3 songs will be "Rather Be With You", "Evil", and "Better Together"
