Helloooo my fellow Descenders, I'm back with a quick little update about the new stuff from Descendants 2.
Oh and btw I decided to just end the Wicked World episode reviews, they take forever to write and procrastination always gets the best of me >~<
So anyways, as you can see from the video above we actually have some footage revolving around the 3 new Vk's; Uma, Gil, and Harry.
First, we can all agree that the music was the best part about this. It really gives me hope for the soundtrack, maybe we'll get some more classic Disney tunes with a modern twist!
Next, I wanted to point out the setting of the first few seconds. I really never took the time to look at the detail for the Isle of the Lost, and after comparing it to the first movie I made a small headcanon/theory:
So after Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos go to Auradon and become good, every one is kind of mad because Maleficent and Mal are usually the ones in charge of the Isle. With both of them gone, Uma took the opportunity to become the new leader of the Isle of the Lost with Gil and Harry, redecorating the place with fish nets and treasured items like gold.
Then that's when Descendants 2 takes place, which I'm not entirely sure what happens so I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Another theory is the music. We all know that during the original "Poor Unfortunate Souls", Ursula was trying to convince Ariel to make a deal with her so she can get legs and see Eric. I started thinking about how maybe something like this could happen in Descendants 2.
The plot reveals that Mal can't handle being true royalty which causes her to go back, so my prediction is that Uma will help Mal become royal only if she lets her attend Auradon.
Knowing Mal, Uma is her archenemy and will most likely say no, which leads to.... Wait for it....
Swordfighting!!! But I'm going to save that for a whole new chapter.
