Do You Love Me Anymore? Part 2 (Alec x Reader)

"Y/N" A voice said snapping you out of your thoughts. It was Isabelle running into the room with a smile on her face.

"Hey Izzy, what's up?" You said

"I wanted you to help me pick out dresses for the wedding" She said while jumping around. If there was one thing that Isabelle love more then anything in this world it had to be fashion, it was her favourite passed time as she put it.

"Sure, maybe you can pick out mine?" You questioned. Izzy just nodded at you happily then grabbed your hand pulling you towards her bedroom.  As much as you didn't want to be happy about Alec's wedding you knew that you couldn't just be stuck over him forever. So even if you weren't happy you could as well try to be. Plus bonding time with Isabelle was always the best.

"You look beautiful Y/N" Jace said as he walked into the room. You turned at him and smiled.

"You really think so?"

"Of course, I wouldn't lie to you. Maybe Alec can finally see what he let get away." Jace told you as he went for a hug.

"Hey" You said hitting his chest "It's Alec's wedding day let's not talk about this. We should all be happy for him. It's going to be one of the best days of his life."

Jace just laughed and step back.

"Wow leave it to you to be happy on your ex's wedding day" Clary added as she and Simon walked into the room.

"What can I say, I'm all about that mess up fairytale" You joked as the others laughed. This is what you needed to take your mind of everything. You didn't want to think about how in a few minutes you will watch the love of your life to get married to someone life.

"Well we should go if we want to catch this mess up fairytale" Jace said as he put his hand in Clary leading the way.

"You ready?" Simon asked worried while lacing your hands together too.

"As ready as I can ever be" You whisper back at Simon pulling your usual fake smile.

As you guys took your seats you look around the room. It was beautiful, it was like a dream wedding come true for anyone. Everything was perfectly in place. You wondering for a belief moment if you were going to able to stay and watch but then you remember that you were stronger then this. No one was going to see you cry. You also weren't going to ruined this day for Alec. If this is what he wanted he could have it, as long as he was happy. You caught Izzy running the down the aisle from the corner of your eye so you turned and look at her with confusion all across your face. She grabbed your hand as she got in front of you guys and said

"Excused me but I'm going to take Y/N". The others nodded and she dragged you away.

"What in the world do you need Isabelle? The wedding is about to start" You commanded while crossing your arms.

"That's the thing I need to talk to you about" Isabelle took your hands into hers and whisper " I went to check on mom to see how she was doing because you know her first born is getting married. I came across some news I wasn't suppose to hear." Isabelle stop for a second catching her breath then rumble on again "She was talking to Dad and Alec about the wedding, and she umm how do I say this? She told Alec that it was what was best for this family and this institue." You look at Izzy lost

"I still don't get what you mean Izzy" Isabelle took a deep breath preparing herself to tell you the news, finally looking you in the eyes Izzy said "The wedding isn't real oh wait that's not what I meant. Alec's and Lydia are only marrying each other for this institus. Everything going wrong here is making a bad name for this place so their getting married to try and fix it." You stared at Isabelle with wide eyes. Not knowing what to do. Maybe Alec still love you maybe he lied. You didn't know so you didn't take the chance.

"Who cares Izzy, can we just go back before the wedding starts?" You asked trying to hurry her.

"Are you sure this is what you want?" Izzy answerd taken back by your questioned. She couldn't believe what she was hearing.

"No but this is what Alec wants so it fine by me. I'll support him no matter what" Izzy smile at you before pulling you into a bone crushing hug. "Your amazing person" she whipser into your ear, making you smile. "Now let's go watch this wedding" As you two walked back out together you knew you did the right thing because Alec loved his family and would do anything for them. This was it, it was the right choice.
