Do You Love Me Anymore? Final Part (Alec x Reader)

You nervously sat in your chair waiting for the wedding to start. Tons of thoughts running through your head about what Isabelle just told you. Alec your Alec was only getting married to help his family. Oh how you knew that it was something he would do, since family came first. You couldn't help wonder why he didn't pick you. You guys were together and you also had a shadowhunter family that had a great name who also followed The Clave rules. Maybe he truly didn't love you anymore. Music started which stopped you from thinking and turned towards the doors. Clary and Simon booth took a hand from you each holding it, knowing that you were going to need the comfort to get through this ceremony.

First walked in Alec with Jace following behind. Alec look amazing he took your breath away, it was bringing up all of your old memories with him. The one where you guys talk about marriage felt like a lifetime ago and so unrealistic right now.

"What do you say about marrying me one day?" Alec asked as you guys were walking back from a mission.

"I say that sounds like a plan. I would to see you in a suit for once" You answered thinking about your happy ever after.

"Same for you in a dress. Gold would make you look like a princess, I could finally be your prince then" Alec told you as he laced your hands in his. "One day soon love, I promise you"

With that moment coming back fresh into your mind you wanted to cry. You didn't think you could do this like you thought. But seeing Izzy walk up giving you a smile, you knew you could make it. Finally the bells started to ring and Lydia made her appearance in the room. Everyone was smiling as she slowly walk up to the front. Love completely showing on her face as Alec put out his hand waiting for her to take it. They looked in love from where you were standing and it crush your heart but you didn't know Alec felt the same. As Alec looked at Lydia he felt nothing for love just pride knowing that this was going to help his family but it wasn't going to last long. As he was handed the sphere to burn on their wedding rune Alec felt like he couldn't breath. With all of the air in the room it wasn't doing anything, he needed out. He couldn't stand here anymore and he didn't understand why but Lydia did. Placing one hand on his cheek she quietly spoke for just the two of them to hear.

"Alec you know what this means don't you? You're about to have a panic attack if we don't stop this." Alec shook his head no he knew he could make through this. "Alec you love her and this proves it. No matter what you say she is always going to be the one for you. Do the right thing for yourself for once, go be with her. Be happy" As everyone in the room just stare at the couple wondering what was going on, it wasn't until Alec step back from Lydia that everyone knew what what was going to happened.

"We're sorry but we can't get married" Lydia announced to the room "Being in love with someone is the most amazing thing in this world and unfortunately that's not us" Everyone grasped but a few in the room because they knew the truth. Alec made his way down the steps making his way over to you .

"Alec, What are you doing?" You asked but Alec just shook his head and smiled.

"The right thing" He replied back right before he kissed you. Everyone watched as you guys kissed they knew the saying, once you fell in love with someone that was it. Shadowhunters only felt love once in their life and when they did it was rare and one of the most beautiful things to have. When you guys pulled away you smiled you knew that this was it. Your happily ever after.
