Author's Note: I am so deeply sorry that I haven't updated in forever. I just needed a little motivation to get back in the game. Hopefully you guys still want to read the story of Scarlett Anderson and Dave Franco :) X
"Just so you know, I've been told many a time that my manhood is welcome anywhere, especially by the ladies."
Scarlett looked up from her soda to see Dave wiggling his eyebrows before sliding into the booth seat opposite her. "I feel deeply for those ladies. They must of been intoxicated with a lot of alcohol, and now? They would be feeling nothing but regret."
"Ouch. Sweetie knows how hurt a mans reputation. Too bad she's making up lies to distract herself from what she really wants... Me!"
Scarlett's face turned to disgust. "What do you want, Franco?" she spoke with annoyance. "You haven't spoken to me since who knows when, and the conversation lasted for less than 5 minutes, so I don't see why you have a sudden interest."
"It just so happens that I am about to make your day, young lady. You see, when you sped away from my house faster than I attract junior cheerleaders, you forgot your mothers dress, and being the knight in shining armour that I am, I offered to drive all the way here to bring it to you, saving you from an additional hour long round trip."
"You have her dress. Oh my goodness! I could kiss you right now!" Scarlett said, not realising what she was saying until it was to late to eat those words. She tried to backtrack, but Dave wasn't taking his eyes off of her. Her attempt at justification began to fade, as his stare became too deep, and she began to stare back. She took in his eyes, those beautiful brown eyes. He took in her lips, those pink, plump lips. She noticed his eyebrows, those that could make anyone weak. He noticed her blue eyes that were clearer than the bluest of seas. She took in his -
"Is there anything I can get you, Sir?" The waitress appeared, bringing the two of them out of their trance.
"Ahh, pardon?" Dave responded, hesitating before unwillingly looking away from Scarlett.
"Is there anything you would like to order?"
"Oh, no. Thank you."
"No problem. If there is anything you two need, just give us a shout. Ma'am, your burger with extra fries will be out in just a minute."
"Oh, ah, thank you," Scarlett said, slightly embarrassed by the amount of food she had ordered for herself. She cursed herself for suddenly caring about what Dave thought of her. He doesn't deserve you, she thought. The waitress had returned to her spot behind the counter. Dave thought it an appropriate time to break the silence.
"Extra fries?" He smirked.
"Yes, extra fries," said Scarlett. "How would you like it if you went to sleep worrying about whether or not the school's bad boy was trying to break into the house next door, only to wake up in the morning to find out he had moved in. Then you have to offer to do your mom's errands for her, skipping breakfast, and then driving half an hour to the seamstress before realising you've forgotten her dress, only to have the person who's company you care for the least bring it too you. Yes, I ordered extra fries, and yes, I bloody well deserved too."
Dave looked at Scarlett, dumbfounded at her ability to talk so fast without drawing breath, before he let out a slight chuckle. He became hesitant, though, suddenly afraid what the bear would do if he poked her any more, but after a moment of his lone chuckle, a twinkle formed in her eye.
They were laughing together.
