I was scrolling through Tumblr only moments ago, and saw a magnificent thing. Someone (apologies I can't remember who) said:
• everyone is born colourblind and once they see their soulmates eyes, they can see colour
And it got me thinking.... I'm gonna write a quick chapter about this. But I've also got more to add to the idea:
• people think they fall in love and see a little colour but it's not pure. However, they wouldn't know as they've never seen colour.
• but when they finally see their soulmate, they just know that those eyes are full of colour. Like a gut feeling
SOOOO WITHOUT FURTHER A DO, here you go!
The taste of the lumpy gruel. The sound of Aaron chewing. The scent of pee mingling with morning breath. Honestly, if I wasn't crazy then things would be undoubtedly dull. I'd be driven insane by it.
But the voices kept me entertained. Their favourite topic was death. They thrived on discussing it. Especially blood. Blood. The dark liquid which seeped out the colourless skin of a victim.
Dammit. I needed another kill soon or a spree would occur. Like when my dear family was murdered brutally.
Honestly though, it wouldn't be too hard to strangle good ol' Aaron. He trusts you. He thinks you're basically harmless.
Or stab him in the neck. Then the lovely dark liquid would trickle down his neck. Staining that silly suit an even darker shade.
But with strangling you can see the last breath escape his massive mouth. You can appreciate the fear and hopelessness in his eyes.
You can see the fear and hopelessness in his eyes if you stabbed him. If anything the fear would be much momentous.
Strangling is satisfying.
Stabbing is more satisfying.
Either way, seeing the pain and hurt in their eyes is simply the best.
Aaron's grunt took me away from the voices. I frowned at looked at him to see that he was glaring at the door. Someone had probably just walked in (well, that and the fact he had dropped spoonful of gruel which had fallen onto the table).
Looking up finally, I saw what Aaron was looking at. And it wasn't grey...
It was bright. And joyous. And sly. And definitely insane.
He came into focus, once I'd gotten over the initial reaction of seeing the brightness. He was perfect.
His eyes locked with mine and a malicious, deviant smile grew on his face. It invited a smile onto my own.
The colour in his eyes was strange. It seemed precious, even dainty, but powerful. Twisted for sure.
You could say if being smug or envious or even wicked was a colour, it'd match those eyes.
It was like seeing the person you hated most, fail. Or winning at something people doubted your strength in.
It was new.
It was startling.
It was addictive.
It was amazing.
It was him.
A.N.
So I hope you liked this, it was something different. Pretty short too.
I'm suffering with an awful case of writer's block. This is evidence of that cause it's shocking compared to the usual stuff. I'm sorry! See ya sooooooooooon
