The day after, I found myself marching into Penguin's office. Nobody chased after me apart from a short girl who had been previously behind a desk. Her heels click-clacked against the floor as she tailed me, slightly quieter than her pleads for me to at least 'slow down'.
I kicked open Penguin's door to find him holding a phone to his ear. At the sight of me his bright eyes widened.
"I'll call you back later... something has...come up." he said before placing the phone down on the desk. He folded his hands and smiled. "How can I help you today, Miss Fishwick?"
"We need to make some changes to my little circus freaks." I stated, placing my palms onto the desk.
"If you're going to complain about Jasmi-" he began.
"No. I was going to say can we get rid of the twins - they've got vibes that go beyond creepy."
Penguin paused for a moment. He puckered his lips for a moment, contemplating. Slowly he nodded.
"I can do that."he paused. "Yes. Yes I can."
I grinned and sunk back into one of the leather chairs which were behind me.
"Is there anything else you'd like, Miss Fishwick?" He asked, placing his hands atop of each other as he leant forward again. I shook my head. "Then could you leave? I've got a terrible amount of business to attend to."
A wave of anger washed over me. I was unsure why it was there but I soon warmed to the fire which was consuming me. Nodding slowly, I got up. The chair shrieked in surprise as I shoved it backwards. Turning round I flung the door open and stormed out. It slammed behind me.
Once outside, I realised that I was stuck again. Bored. With voices swirling inside which told me to do all sorts of vicious things. I tried to ignore them. I hugged my jacket closer to my body and headed down the nearest alleyway.
As I turned the corner, two pairs of hands grabbed me as a bag of some sort covered my heart. Instinctively I kicked out. My legs swung wildly in every direction.
"Sweetie, make it easier for yourself and stop that. Or we'll have to sort you out the hard way, and trust me I don't like hurting pretty dolls like yo'self." A gruff, deep voice threatened. He thought I was gonna be easy. Wow. Not a chance!
Giving it a heck of a lot of power, I tried kicking out again. One foot made contact and a low grunt was the reaction. I grinned and gave it another go but nothing.
"Well I warned you sweetheart, sorry about this." The voice appeared again before my vision went dark.
