Lil' bit

Waking up in the morning you move towards the fridge,

pulling out a bottle and preparing to cross that bridge.

That bridge where you promise yourself you'll just have a lil' bit,

then proceed to drink the entire bottle.

Stumbling to work you find yourself just a lil' bit late.

Your boss yells at you.

You don't know what to do.

So you stumble home and get out a blade,

promising just a lil' bit.

Unfortunately the deeper this pain finds its way in your heart,

the more you promise yourself.

Just a lil' bit.

Yet a bit turns to a ton,

and the alcohol and blood loss weighs you down.

Everything's okay, you try to say.

Inside your just waiting for that day.

That day where it'll all be okay and when your boss yells you'll know what to say.

It'll never come.
