~Cerise's P.O.V~

We make our way to the hospital and Skylar is sitting next to me.

She starts to fidget with her fingers- something she does when she's nervous.

I look back out the window, looking at the scenery as we pass by.

Since we made a trip to the hospital so many times, I could tell we were close.

Looking back at Skylar, I can tell she knows were close too.

"It's going to be okay, I can't make any promises, because I can't control what happens, but I'm sure is we hope, things will be okay," I say and grab her hand, trying yo not only calm her down but reassure her.

"If it were only that simple C. If only we could hope for things to be better, and all our problems could just go away, but sadly it's not that simple." She says and gives me a half-smile before looking out the window once again.

I do the same, but it's not long before the car comes to a halt. Signaling that we reached the hospital.

I open the door and get out, everyone doing the same as well.

We walk through the entrance and my parents head towards the check-in counter and while Sky and I head for the waiting room chairs.

We don't talk much, saying something every once and a while, but otherwise, we stay silent.

Within 15 to 20 minutes, the nurse comes out and calls us into the room.

We all sit down in the seats provided and the nurse guides Skylar towards the patient bed.

"Okay, so you all are here for Skylar I assume?" She asks as she pulls out her file.

As she looks up, my Mom gives her a small nod in agreement.

"Well, we need to ho run some tests, and we'll come back with the results." She says and Skylar gets up and follows her out of the room, and all we can do is sit and wait.

~~~30 minutes later~~~
The nurse and Skylar walk back in and I get up from my seat, my parents doing the same.
"Okay, we have the results." She says and takes a seat.
Before I sit down, I look over at Skylar. We make eye contact for a little before she gives me a sad smile. Answering my unasked questions.
"She has formed a rare disease as you all know, and I'm sorry to say that it has gotten worse. What we thought would be a while before her time would be up, turned out to not last long. She has at most three weeks left." The nurse says and I feel the tears form in my eyes, and on the brink of falling out.
"She has two options, she can either fight or give up now. It's her choice." The nurse says, and I turn to face Skylar.
"What will it be?" She asks, everyone facing her at this point.
Your choice Skylar.
