~Cerise's P.O.V~
I wake up the next morning to the sound of rain pouring outside my window.
I sit up in bed and turn off the music playing on my phone.
Before, standing up, I do a quick stretch and make my way to my closet.
I throw on my gray sweater, black jeans, and gray vans. After getting dressed, I do my makeup and hair, then put my beanie on.
After I'm ready, I walk into the kitchen, I notice only my Dad is awake when I head towards the kitchen.
"Morning Dad, why's everyone else asleep?" I ask as I begin to make me a bowl of cereal.
"They're awake, just not here." He says and walks into the kitchen as I sit at the island counters.
"Why aren't they here?" I ask as I take a bite of my cereal.
"Skylar woke up and was having a hard time breathing. She stumbled into our room last night and wasn't able to really speak. She was trying to, but she passed out. Now she and Mom are at the hospital right now. She told me to tell you, if you didn't want to go to school, you don't have to. I'm going to the hospital when Mom calls me. You're welcome to join me." He says and I nod my head.
"Okay, we'll make sure you're ready to go. I'm gonna go get ready now." He says and walks out of the room. Leaving me speechless.
I finish eating cereal, put my bowl in the sink, and walk back to my room.
I grab my phone and pull up the group chat all my friends were in.
Me- Guys, I'm not going to be at school today. My sister's in the hospital and my Dad and I are going to see her. Mind getting all my homework? I'd really appreciate it.
Maddie- No problem. I hope she gets better.
Addy- The girls and I will make sure to get your homework and notes. I hope Sky gets better.
Blake- I'm sorry C, I hope she gets better.
Everyone text's me back except Nolan.
What did Skylar say to make mad?
I question as I sit in silence. Then I remember what she gave me. The locket.
I open it up and read the quote once again.
If there ever comes a time when we can't be together, keep me in your heart, I'll stay there forever.
Could she have known this was going to happen? Could she have known that she wasn't going to be here that much longer? I don't know what it is, but I know one thing.
I need to talk to Skylar.
