I walked to the pond, dipping my feet in the water.
Cold.
Wiggling my feet, drops of water start to fall down on my head, increasing by the minute.
Great. Just what I need. Another reason to not come outside.
I throw on my hoodie over my head and slowly make my way back to the house.
"Joslyn!" Mom calls.
"I'm coming mom." Jesus Christ.
I swing open the door as my mom pulls me in quickly.
" Mom what's wrong?" I whine.
" You have to be careful! What if they came?"
" Mom I haven't seen the reflection in weeks. Plus it's raining. She won't want to come out." I say, walking to the fridge.
Ugh. No more leftovers.

There's something about my family that nobody should know. But here I am telling you. My name is Joslyn McAdams and I'm a witch. Well not exactly, but my family and I were born with a rare gene- the witching gene- so we just say witches. Anyhow there's a secret I have. I'm a twin. Hidden in the back of the forest there is a pond. When we and my sister were little we would play near the pond, making mud pies and stupid things kids do. But one day we got bored of making mud pies, so we snuck into my fathers office and stole something. Something we probably shouldn't have. And my sister disappeared. She was trapped........... INSIDE THE POND. I have no idea how that happened, but I've been trying to get her out. But she's not the only one in the pond. There are bad people, bad spirits trapped in there, but that's another story.
Anyways, now you know. Don't you dare tell a single soul.........
