Chapter 2: Willow's Thoughts: Age 18

I have never really understood why people look up to me so much. I am just a teenager that is the child of the alphas in the Glisten royal pack. My parents won't tell me what is going on until I turn nineteen in a couple months. I do not know why they won't tell me about our pack's problems, but when I do find out what they are I will do anything to help fix them. After my parents are gone, I will be left in charge of this pack because I am their eldest child. Their only daughter.

My mother always told me that the reason she named me Willow was because of an experience that she had. When she was pregnant with me on a full moon, she sat by a willow tree. My mother told me that the willow tree was beautiful, just as I am, when it blossomed. She always told me stories of what she did on full moons when she was pregnant with me, for she couldn't turn because she was pregnant. Every full moon she would find herself sitting by a Willow tree, and she never really knew why. I wonder what my life will be like in the future. I can't wait until I turn nineteen!

My father always teaches me about the correct way to do things. He has always been there to teach me anything I wanted to know. Ever since I was a little girl, my father would guard me and make sure that I didn't get attached to any boy in our pack.

I've always wondered why and can't wait to find out.

The last time I was friends with a boy my age in my pack my father almost kicked him out of the pack. Since then, I've learned to help around inside my pack and not get involved with any boys. I cannot wait until I meet my mate and get to have a future with him. Finding your mate determines your future. Not having a mate would mean you are left lonely until you do find yours. Unfortunately, some people never find or do not even have a mate within their lifetime. It is all given by the blessing of the Moon Goddess.
