Willow

I jumped out of bed and ran down the stairs as I was running, I almost ran into the betas. "Sorry. I'm in a hurry."

Without caring how they responded, I kept running until I reached my parents headquarters.

When I reached their bedroom door, I stopped and hesitated for a second then quietly walked into the room. I saw them in their bed sitting up talking quietly. "Mother. Father. I am nineteen today. When do I get to hear all about our pack and whatever else you wanted to tell me?" I was impatient and have been waiting five years for this day to come.

There sat my mother in her spot on their bed wearing her black polka-dot pajamas with her dark brown hair with light colored tips hung down unbrushed but still perfect as always. Her face looks like mine except her smile is slightly different from mine. She smiled at my father and was gazing directly into his eyes with her hazel ones.

We are so similar yet so different, but I do have my father's eyes that is a given.

My father sat on the end of the bed, and he was already dressed for the day in jeans and a button up shirt. His dark brown hair was short around and had a little length on the top of his head. His brown eyes looked at me as I stood there waiting for a response in the middle of their bedroom.

"Willow, we know that it is your nineteenth birthday today. We will tell you of today's plans and you will have to be patient." My father spoke to me, as he did my mother turned to face me.

My mom looked towards me and so did my father. I knew what he meant when he said today's plans and that it probably didn't consist of what I wanted to hear.

I sat down on the bed beside my mother. "Today we are going to tell you what you need to know for the events that we planned." My mother spoke and then looked over to my father for help.

My father shifted to face my mother and I on the opposite side of the bed where he had been sitting.

"Willow, when you were just a baby as a pack, we decided that in order to have our Glisten Pack live on we needed help. We made an agreement with another pack that needs help as well. They are called the Luster Pack. Willow, you share a birthday with their son, Brayden, and in the agreement, it states that the only way to combine our packs together would be to have you and Brayden be true mates and get married. He is your true mate, Willow. The Moon Goddess has blessed you as each other's mates since birth which made this agreement easier for both parties. Together you both will combine the packs and make them stronger."

My father paused looking for my reaction. I could not move. I was speechless. How did they know for certain who my true mate was?

Our mates are already chosen for us by the Moon Goddess. How did they know that Brayden and I were true mates from birth though? Now I know why my father kept me away from all of my pack boys, but wasn't it against the normal to have a mate outside of your own pack?

"Isn't it against the normal for me to have a mate outside of my own pack territory?" I asked them as I needed answers and now was the only time my parents were willing to give them to me.

My father nodded.

"It is indeed, but not for you and Brayden. Both of the packs agreed to let you both get married and combine the packs. Once the packs are combined you and Brayden are official alphas, the leaders of that joined pack of both Glisten and Luster pack members."

"How did the packs figure out Brayden and I were true mates though before the agreement was formed?" I asked my father.

"There was a pack seer psychic that read into your future after you were born. She only allowed us three questions to be answered." My father looked at my mother and nodded.

"We asked the psychic if you had a gleaming future. If you had been blessed with a true mate and who your true mate is." My mother looked to my father and back to me and smiled.

There was one other thing I had yet to understand, when was I supposed to get married?

Brayden

It was the day I have been waiting for five years now, and it has finally come. I am now seventeen and my parents have to tell me what is going on. I walked into the kitchen where they both were standing. My mother with her mid length blonde hair standing in her gray robe at the kitchen counter, her green hazel eyes looking up at me from across the room. My dad watched me as I entered his wild dark hair clearly showing signs of bed head. My dad's piercing dark eyes watching me as I walk into the kitchen further.

"So, when are you going to tell me the answers to all of my questions that haven't been answered for five years?" I asked them.

My parents looked at me and then at the chair by them, I walked over to it and sat down.

My dad looked at me and nodded, "Son, today I will tell you anything you want to know but first I must tell you some stuff. You know that girl you told me about?"

I nodded. "Well, I laughed because she is your mate, Brayden. She is to marry you when you both turn twenty. I assume that her parents are giving her the same talk right now. Brayden, her name is Willow, she is from the Glisten pack, and you share a birthday with her. The packs decided after you were both born that when you both were married both of the royal packs would combine. After you both are married, you and Willow will be alphas of the pack and you must keep the pack strong and united."

My dad was telling me the answers to all of my questions over the past five years, and I was glad to hear them. I was so happy I couldn't wait until a year from now, when I would be getting married to the love of my life. Willow.

"When do I get to meet her?" I asked my parents.

My mother looked over at me and smiled, "Tonight."
