A/N: So my tory takes place in an AU. This chapter makes it kinda apparent. I had the chapter almost finished then THE TAB CLOSED AND REOPENED! I LOST EVERYTHING I HAD! So on that note, read the BEST CHAPTER EVER! YEAH! I'M PUMPED!

-L POV-

After I leave Kiko with several kisses and I love you's. I see a jewelry shop and enter it. As soon as I enter, I see two rings. One is shaped like a strawberry and the other like a cherry. I purchase them. The rings are put in the classic black box, and then I go home and call Wammy's and make sure Mello and Matt can accommodate Kiko. They are able to, so I head back to Kiko. I tell her I plan to work on finding Kira alone while she stays with Mello and Matt at Wammy's. She is visibly angry and she refuses to speak to me on the plane. I tap her on the shoulder, and she turns. I hand her the box with the strawberry ring in it. Her eyes widen to the size of saucers. " I haven't known you for very long, but I know this is the right thing to do. I knew from that first kiss. When you left, I felt empty. I thought you hated me. When I felt your arms around me a few nights ago, when I attempted suicide, it was sealed. Making love to you is what drove me to the jewelers. I want you by my side forever. That is why I want you to stay at Wammy's. So you stay alive. I love you Kiko Mazure, I love you," I say. Kiko's eyes are welling up with tears. She slips the ring on her finger, and I put my own on, smiling. We spend the rest of the flight admiring our rings.
