"Hey guys" I say quietly looking at my ankle socks. "Oh thank goodness you're alright!" Dad says running up to me. He wraps me in a hug and kisses my head. "Dad, chill. I texted you that I was fine." I said. "Where'd you go?" Brandon asks me. "Dyl's house." I replied grabbing one of the boxes from the table. "Uh." Brandon says looking at the box. "Here. I'll take that. Thanks though." Brandon says taking the box from my hands. He goes up to the spare bedroom with it. "What was that about?" I ask uncle Ashton. "It's his mum's stuff." He replies. "Oh, sorry." I say looking at him. "Don't sweat it. You didn't know." He says. Brandon then comes back into the room. "Sorry." He says. "All good." I say. "Are you done?" I ask him. "I think so. Why?" He asks. I grab his arm and lead him to my little studio. "Why did you bring me here?" He asks looking around. "Wanna sing with me?" I ask him. "Sure. What do you wanna play?" He asks. "Airplanes!" I yell. "Whoa-k then." He says surprised at my sudden scream. "What do you play?" I ask him. "Same as dad." He replies going to sit at the drums. "Okay! I'll play piano." I say sitting across from him on piano. "You sing first." I say secretly recording on my phone. "Okay." He says and starts singing. He sounded amazing. Near the end of the first verse I almost forgot to sing. I start singing and he messes up the drums. I smile at him during a little instrumental part. He smiles back at me. When we finish playing I go back on my phone to stop recording. "That was fun" I say looking up at him. "Yeah" he says going on him phone. "Wanna do another one?" I ask. "Nah. I'm good." He replies. "Oh, okay. I just though-" I said sadly. He came and sat next to me. "You're really good at piano, you know that right?" He asks me getting really close. I nod. "Thanks?" I ask giggling. I blush and look back at my phone to check the time. "Holy crap! It's already eight o'clock!" I exclaim. "So?" He asks. I giggle again. "It's getting late. I'm going to get ready for bed." I say getting up. "Wait!" He shouts. "Yeah?" I ask walking back to him. "I need to tell you something." He says serious. "What's up?" I ask him sitting back down next to him. Just then I heard the doorbell. "Sky? Can you get the door?!" I hear my dad yell. "Yeah!" I call back. "Ugh, stairs." I say climbing the stairs to get to the door.
