CHAPTER 3
We all gathered around the cauldron in a circle of ten. One representative from each circle on the coven. "Elizabeth, child, do we have everything to commence?" Our only elder Gabriel asked as he linked hands with Adriana and my mother on either side of him, signaling that everyone around the cauldron should. "Yes sir. Everything's in order." She repeated for the third time in one hour. He then started the chant and others joined in one by one. All except for me and Ellie. For the spell to work, I have to read my own spell to myself and determine when I will want to come back. And once that's done with, tell Ellie when to drop the ingredients into the already brewing potion.
As I told Ellie when to drop them in, I noticed that I would need to keep my talisman with me and make sure that I will get Tikaani as my familiar when I reincarnate to make sure that I keep my memories even after my initiation ceremony. I wonder what'll happen after I come back. What'll this world come to?
Then I felt something. A link of some kind. I look to my undead friend and asked, "Do you feel it?" and she replied with, "I asked them to link us so incase I leave for good, you will come back near me and can find me. Plus, then I can feel when you do come. Come back, I mean." She then added the last of the ingredients. As the elder ended the chant, my father, who was out of the chant already, took one of the two chalices and filled it with the already semi-thick liquid in the cauldron; then he took the other one after he added something extra that was not in the original recipe. "Loribelle Alice Galey and her familiar Tikaani, I present you both with this special potion so that you both may be reborn as master and servant once more." He then placed the original in front of Tikaani and the newer version to me.
I gave one more look to everyone in the forest before laying myself against the tree in the lush grass area. My dear Tikaani gently laid down over my feet, curling into himself as I was handed my chalice while his was placed in front of him. "Now my child, drink" Spoke Elder Gabriel.
With giving one last pat on the head to Tikaani, I brought it to my lips and let the bitter sweet liquid slide down my throat until I had enough and got extremely lethargic and dropped it to the soft ground. Oh the ground, how comfortable it feels. Never mind the coldness of the evening glow. This is all where I wanted to be. Surrounded by family and friends, my familiar, nature, and her highness the moon. This is what I can call my final moment.
I woke up dizzy. I can't see anything, not even my hand as I run my fingers over my forehead. "How did I get here?" turned into mumbled gibberish and unintelligible stuttering. Then it was bright, too bright. I quickly shut my eyes until the candle flames dimmed to one.
"Look, Ben, She's beautiful! Look at her eyes!" A feminine voice said from above me.
"Hold on dear, there's one more to com yet." Her male counterpart explained to the woman.
I suppose that I'm coming back from my hibernation. Just thinking about seeing Ellie again just makes me want to squeal! And with that thought, I heard a high pitched chirp and then a longer one. "Ben, can you hear that?" I heard the woman ask the male as I felt hands grab me from all sides.. "Yes honey, that was Scarlette. She seems happy."
Then I heard another voice that was not mine. Screaming, a babe is screaming and I can't help but want to confront it. I started to squirm in the hold of my captor. But that just made their hold on me grow tighter. I then felt a warm, wet cloth be placed on my body, and I let my mind go blank.
