Acceptance

Rid's POV

After a year or so without seeing her. Everything feels a fuzzy memory. I happen to stumble still with Axiel. We are under some type of business so I can't avoid him. It may pain me seeing him a little. Insecurity kills me to be honest. I am still recupperating. I just wanna help Val. She also knows how I feel. But we are civil. No love or anything. Will never enter a relationship if not fully recovered. Client business meeting again. I support claims and Axiel offers for the client. I saw him. All smile but the usual him. We're formal to each other.

"Sup man!"i kept it civil.

He nod and touched his chin.

"Good! You?"asked.

I smiled.

"Better."i laughed.

"It should be at best, clients!"he pointed out.

"I know! Trying."i added.

"Dating someone?"he asked.

Shaked my head.

"Not at the moment."i simply said.

"Why?"he asked.

Why do i feel like this walk takes forever to elevator.

"I am taking day off!"biro ko.

He laughed.

I suddenly hissed and all the sh*tty stuffs i said feels so bad.

"Why?"i asked.

"Is he here?"biro pa din niya.

"Really why?"i insist.

"Lj almost lost our baby and i am in the meeting that time. Almost. Sh*t, if that happens i can't forgive myself."all his guards down.

My heart sunk. My bestfriend is down. The girl i adore is down. They deserve happiness. I realize now, moving on means acceptance.

"Brad all good, you're fine now." I supported him.

A tear jerk on his face.

"She wouldn't be able to have another child again. Some serious and bad thing happen."he is terrified.

My heart crashed and burn.

"Hey it's okay, findings?"i asked.

"30% chance of getting pregnant."he added.

I nod.

"See? Still there's chance, just tell her okay? We're here. Straight up!"i knocked up his chest.

That man is straight up sh*t strong. He went from f*cked up state to another but still okay. She stole Lj's heart. He can protect it.

"Thanks man."he said.

I nod and smile.
