Zayn

Yesterday, I met a beautiful girl. Merci Collins. Typically, I wouldn't be too crazy about meeting some girl who was occupying my seat, because I'm notorious for having anger issues but something about her was pretty damn amazing. She was pretty. With her long auburn hair, and dark green eyes. She wore a red flower crown that I definitely couldn't forget.

Yesterday, she let me walk around with her showing her around campus. We talked and laughed and it felt really nice having an actual conversation with somebody who doesn't look at me in disgust because of my piercings and tattoos, or someone who looks at me in fear.

"So Merci, when are you going to give me your number?" I ask the flower crowned girl, who is staring at me right now. We are sitting at lunch together, mainly because I sit with nobody. I hate socializing with these people who think they are too good for everybody else.

"I've known you for twenty four hours, and you're already hitting on me?" Merci aids, arching a perfectly looking eyebrow. Her fingers start unwrapping her sandwich and taking a bite. A soft chuckle leaves my lips, amusement covering my face.

My elbow rests against the table, resting my chin on top of my hand. I watch the beautiful girl eat her sandwich, enjoying it. Her head tilts to the side as she chews down on her bite before a blush covers her cheeks.

"Why are you staring?" Merci asks me, placing her sandwich down. Her eyes are now meeting mine, a soft smile slipping to her face causing her dimples to pop out. Goodness.

"Because your pretty." I state causally, shrugging my shoulders. Her eyes advert from mine as she stares down at the table letting out a soft laugh. It would my luck, that she already has a boyfriend.
Why am I thinking this? I don't do relationships especially after her. Merci will simply be a friend.
Will she though?

"Anyways, I met another person. She's supposed to be sitting with us as well." Merci says which breaks me out of my thoughts about the auburn haired girl. I arch an eyebrow but don't say anything.

Someone places their tray down, and I tear my gaze away from Merci, and towards my left. My eyes meet the familiar green eyes. My jaw clenches, wondering why Merci is socializing with her to begin with.

"Nice to see you again Zayn." Chrissy says, a smirk plastered on her mouth. Chrissy is still the same gorgeous girl who took my heart and absolutely crushed in with her hand.

"Not likewise." I grumble, and Chrissy sits down. Her ginger hair is loose today which frames her face perfectly. Her eyes are now on the girl who is wearing the flower crown. Merci looks slightly confused but she doesn't say anything about it.

"Anyways, Merci thank you for inviting to sit with you during lunch. Where did you move from?" Chrissy asks, grabbing the yogurt cup opening it and spooning out some of the blueberry colored cream.

Merci instantly looks uncomfortable. She shifts her seat, brushing the hair out of her face as if this isn't a topic she thought would be brought up. Her fingers start messing with the plastic wrap that covered her turkey and cheese sandwich.

"I used to live in Cambridge. Now I'm living here of course." Merci finally speaks up, and Chrissy nods but looks disinterested. What a bitch. I roll my eyes, before leaning forward some.

"Merci, don't you remember. I said I'll show you where your locker is because I didn't do it yesterday." I say, hoping Merci catches my drift of wanting to leave Chrissy, and be by ourselves again. Merci's eyes find mine before she slowly nods.

We excuse ourselves away from Chrissy, and she doesn't seem to really care. Her fingers are moving quickly against the screen of her phone. Probably texting Justin her boyfriend. The same guy.. Why am I bothering with these thoughts?

We walk out of the cafeteria, eyes are instantly on us. I don't mind them though. I'm used to the stares they give. It's nothing new for me.

"I'm sorry, I remembered yesterday she was talking about you. I didn't even think about it." Merci says which makes me look at her with a look. She pulls the sides of her cardigans together letting out a soft sigh.

"It's alright Mer. It's all good. She's Crystal Brynn. I don't expect anything different from her." I say shrugging my shoulders, just shrugging off the subject all together. It's not something I really like talking about. She is from Hell its self.

"Still, you were my first friend here and I don't want to ruin that by being stupid." Merci says, the same soft flush covering her tan skin. A smile, something that rarely appears, on my lips. Of course this is the reason why, because Merci Collins is adorable.
It's literally been one day, and here I am swooning over things I probably shouldn't. Why am I thinking of this? I don't do relationships and someone as gorgeous as Merci Collins.

"It's all good love, I've already told you. Nothing can really faze me. Anyways, let's talk about something yeah?" I say shoving my hands into my pocket. My eyes flicker to the clock resting against the school's wall. We have about six minutes until the next block starts.

Merci smiles at me before starting to talk about something and I of course listen with the nod of my head, and gentle smiles every now and then. But I know this girl will be trouble for my feelings.

When I get home, I push the door open and make my way inside. It's deathly quiet. I place my backpack down, hoping to god he isn't here. Maybe I can have a free hour without listening to any of the bullshit that will come spilling out of his damn mouth.

"Is that my son?" I hear which makes my heart plummet into my stomach. Walking from the living room stands my father. His figure towering me despite being several feet away from me. I swallow a lump, he looks mad. I know he will take it out of me but I much rather it be me then my mother or my sisters.

So I'll take whatever he gives.

Second edited and released chapter of this series. After this it will start getting longer. Like I said in the previous chapters, I will be changing things. Such as names, like Crystal's original last name was Evans but as everybody who has read my My Brothers Best Friend Series, knows that's Esme & Brayden's last name so I changed it. I will be introducing new characters and new events and new backstories to make the plot better, yes this will be taking time. My main mission is completing the third and final book of my My Brothers Best Friend Series, In Too Deep. Check out my other books :) ♥️
