-Fast-Forward to Halloween Night-

"A sexy cop? Really?" I stared at Axl in disbelief as he held the costume bag. "What in the hell is sexy about this?" Axl had taken full advantage of the deal we'd made, and had spent a good amount of time yesterday looking for his costume choice.

Axl chuckled, holding the bag out to me. "The chick that's in it. Oh, and I got matching handcuffs, by the way." He gave me a wink, which made me burst out laughing as I pranced upstairs to go put my 'outfit' on.

The last week hadn't been completely non-productive. Enough songwriting had been done that we were only missing about three songs for the end of Sixx: A.M.'s first album, not including the theatrical ending that James had pre-written. Once the songs were finalized, the band would start recording, and it would be my job to start scheduling and arranging advertising, photo shoots, and tour dates.

My mother was still on the run. However, Detective Vathers had questioned my stepfather, who, under the fifth amendment, had remained silent. Of course, that meant that he was an accomplice to my mother's escape, since my mother had been nowhere near done with her prison sentence. In fact, she'd racked up more years than John did as a drug dealer. In any case, Vathers was still working on finding her.

As a result, none of us had gone anywhere by ourselves, including all current and ex members of Steel Panther, Mötley Crüe, and Guns N' Roses, plus Trixie. Everyone started carrying pepper spray and pocket knives again. To anyone outside of the situation, it seemed absolutely ridiculous, but we couldn't be too careful, especially since no one knew where she was.

Axl and I got ready for the Mansons' Halloween party relatively quickly. Just like Trixie had promised, it was going to be the biggest bash of the year. It was also a great way to get rid of the tension of the week. Dj, dressing up as a skeleton, was coming with us as well.

"Well don't you two look absolutely adorable," Dj laughed when he saw us. Axl laughed and nodded in agreement, kissing my cheek. I rolled my eyes, but chuckled. "Manson's pretty damn cool, though. I'm a fan of the Spooky Kids."

Sighing, Axl face-palmed. "Who aren't you a fan of?" Dj only shrugged and laughed as the three of us made our way to the car.

The party that was going on when we arrived at Marilyn Manson's California home was absolutely wild. People were spilling in and out of the house, all dressed in Halloween costumes and smelling like marijuana and alcohol. Goth-Rock music was playing so loudly that you could not only hear it, but you could feel it even along the driveway and yard. The house was decorated to be perfectly grotesque.

Dj ran off into the house without a moment's notice, clearly excited to be there. Axl and I just shrugged at each other, following the guitarist in. At that point, there was nothing we could do but enjoy the free drinks and the strange company.

By the time I saw Trixie, she was, needless to say, high as a kite. She was dancing around in an almost fairy-like fashion around all the drunk, raving people in obscure outfits. "Stella, you showed up!" She laughed, waving at both Axl and I. "Want a line?" she offered, grabbing my arm anyway. I awkwardly followed her through, making Axl come with me.

The room we ended up in was dark, lit up only by the dim UV lights making everyone's teeth glow. A guy was hunched over a glass table next to Madonna Wayne Gacy and Daisy Berkowitz. The other members of the Manson band were around there too, and Marilyn laughed a little bit when he saw the way I looked.

"Nice costume," he complimented with a chuckle.

I sighed, sticking my thumb at Axl, who had a cheesy grin plastered on. "This was his choice, trust me."
